For those who weren't there, former Redbird LB Cameron Siskowic was recognized at the game Saturday for his selection into the ISU Hall of Fame. From a distance, he looked to be in good shape. It can be tough to take off some of that playing weight. He was a great linebacker.

Jackson Waring is playing great football for NAIA Grand View University. Timothy Dorsey appears to be QB#2 for ETSU and scored his first touchdown on Saturday.
This past weekend, Jackson, was 14-19 for 239 yards with 5tds and 1 INT. He also rushed 8 times for 54 yards and 1 TD. GVU is ranked 2nd in the country.

This his third in a row conference honors. Great to see him doing good. Personally he just had a rough time at ISU with OC's etc the talent was there and its now showing even though its NAIA Grandview year in and out are always in top 8 rankings in NAIA football. Saw #5 Indiana Wesleyan beat FCS Valpo earlier this year. May not be MVFC but football is football when it comes to talent. Its just depth and measures with some kids. But I will take heart/passion and desire any day over 3/4 star booster kids and newspaper promoted kids who are given positions without working for them. I want to be in a trench fight with those guys who have had to fight for everything in life because they will never quit in life. They may be slowed down but don't quit and give it their all 100%.

JW was 16-23 with 3 TD's for 325 yards in a 45-0 win over Peru State. I thought Peru was a country and not a state but that is for another discussion.:)

The portal taketh away, does it giveth back?

We already got Zack Annexstad in that "trade" ... I think we came out way ahead !! Not sure Jackson Waring would have worked out at this level. Grand View is NAIA with 2,100 enrollment. Granted a very good NAIA team .. he is helping lead them to #2 ranking so far. Good for him.

p.s. but agree we may need another for next season if Rittenhouse isn't quite ready.
