Nuts! Absolutely nuts! No team who finishes that low in a conference deserves a bid. Right now, the MW has 5 teams in the top 35 net. What are the chances of these five teams all getting bids?

They got four last year, so it's not that far-fetched to think they could get at least that number again. Went 0-4 last year to boot.

Getting upset or going on rants about this in January is dumb. Lunardi has a bunch of B1G teams in now because so many have good wins and have avoided bad losses. Some will rack up losses the rest of the way and some will separate.

Not to mention that it doesn't matter to the selection committee what we think. Teams will get screwed, teams will make it who don't deserve it. And the $$ will continue to flow to the P5. That's capitalism.

Their conference was ranked 2nd based on non conference play. Parity in league is hurting individual rankings, but I would still expect 8-10 to make it depending on how things play out. They have I think 12 teams top 64 in kenpom right now.

I don't see any harm in talking about this now or any time really. I understand your reasoning that things will change. But this is a snapshot at how Lunardi thinks the committee would make the bracket right now.

BTW, he has North Carolina IN. They are 14-6. All 14 of their wins are non-Q1. They are 0-6 currently in Q1 games.

Keep on topic, Ohio State (11-8, 3-5) is 2-6 in Q1 wins. They do have a bad loss in Columbus to Minnesota (Q 4). 11th seed in Lunardi's latest.

That makes sense. Two games under .500 and an 11 seed. SMH.

Quadrant records are based on Net rankings which has those teams ranked 32 and 24. Kenpom has both in top 25. Any of the models that try to account for schedules seem to agree those examples are in right now. They will continue to mature, so we will see.

This argument seems to me to be the same as arguing MVFC shouldn't be getting as many teams in the playoffs as we have.
