I wonder if it was realizing he needed a timeout versus truly thinking he was done. I’ve no doubt he grew to hate the pressure, the all-encompassing commitment, the personal and social expectations. It’s hard to do something you love when you’ve lost the love for it. A year away probably showed how much he missed playing. And hopefully he’s learned how to add some balance to his life so he can still play with passion without becoming codependent with a large brown ball.

NCHS will be loaded this upcoming season…especially with Cleveland returning and Newsome transferring.

How about a HIGH SCHOOL starting lineup of 6-5, 6-6, 6-9, 6-10, 6-10 . . . ? And none of them are just "tall", they can all play.
Thats a height level I'd love to have at the college level. If they don't compete for a state championship this year I'd be shocked.
Pedon is recruiting all 5, too. Four class of '24 and one '25

Yes, Noah is playing - I have seen him on several highlights on the local sports.
The Classic is this week, in which NCHS is the #1 seed.
Noah had 10 points in game 1, NCHS was up 20-2 after the 1stQ and 50-15 at half time. I'm sure he didn't play much.
He had 16 points in game 2, in which NCHS won by 30 and was up 24-4 after the 1stQ and 38-14 at half time.
They play in the semi finals Friday 12/29 against Romeoville at 4 pm, at Normal West.

He had 10 in the championship game in which NCHS was up 22-7 after the 1Q.
I liked how Noah played in the last three games - the games I watched. Rebounding and defense - always in the mix and around the ball. Numerous assists and gives you offense on the inside and can hit the occasional 3-ball. Worked on the point of the full-court press - athletic talent. I see a lot of upside. Plus, the legacy connection. The type of player winning teams have on their roster.
