NDSU v Illinois State Viewing parties across the country if you have friends/family in these towns, tell them to go, they usually get the opposing team fans really drunk with free drinks haha

http://ndsuathleticfund.com/viewing-sites/

Texas, North Carolina, Minneapolis, Denver Colorado and Arizona have some big parties.

This is true! Last year NDSU fans kept giving us shot after shot after shot during the tailgate at the Fargodome. Great time.

I think our defense plays great and has a positive play/result most of the time. My concern is that they also have some really bad plays, albeit a few of them.

I expect our defense to shut down the running between the tackles, and even the stretch runs. I wouldn't be surprised to see us absolutely shut them down for a good quarter or more. That said, I think NDSU adjusts and a few jet sweeps here, a few QB keepers there, and they loosen us up a bit. I think we can bend don't break and have some success, but the key is to not break, and the key is to not overpursue the inside run because the edge is going to be open if we do, and these Bison backs have some really good speed.

Offensively, we have to be able to take care of the ball, and our O-line has to start run blocking. They got their butts kicked vs. NIU. Our backs never had a chance to get past the first level as the first level consistently was in our backfield. NDSU's D-line is hurting a bit (they lost their DE), but they have good depth there and are athletic. I actually like our chances running on grass moreso than on turf. Their linebackers fly to the ball, as does their Sophomore SS Michael Tutsie, who has really impressed me in the first few games.

Our best chance to win - our defense avoids big pass plays, while also containing the edge...but perhaps most importantly, they get plenty of time to rest because offensively, we are sustaining drives and moving the chains. Tre Lance is going to get his, but let's try to make him beat us through the air...which I think he can do, but still. Offensively, we need to play near-perfect offense from a number of players, including Davis, and with that, our O-line needs to have greatly improved over the past two weeks. If not, the Bison will simply dominate the line of scrimmage.

The only prediction I'll make is that the Bison win the 2nd half. Let's hope we win the first.

Win the battles up front and force a turnover or two. Ground & pound.

I think today is our day. Birds’ win 17-10 and Gillum has his breakout game - 3/80/1. LFG!!!

NDSU is better than us at EVERY. SINGLE POSITION. The bright side? Only 3 more years of seeing their QB!

I’m so gullible sometimes...

These Redbird teams trick me. Some years you feel it and think “this is the team”.... the problem is I have felt that way like 50% of the time since becoming a Redbird fan over a decade ago...

North Dakota St just wants it more then us. Of course they seem to be bigger, faster, and stronger then us. On top of that they have Physical/Mental toughness, execution, and grit....they’re finishing blocks, wrapping up and making tackles, executing on special teams. We need to dig deep and fight to get back in this game (obviously). Wouldn’t hurt if we could stop being so damn predictable every drive.

The Redbird D has no idea where the Bison attack is coming from next. They have such a varied attack. The Bison D just have to locate Robinson...that is the entire Redbird attack.
