I have lost faith in the ability of Pedon to turn it around next year because we have too many returnees. I do expect us to be better. I don't see a big jump unless we get a great point guard, someone to replace Lewis and several shooters. If Davis, Lieb, Kasubke and Banks all return, it is hard to understand how we could have much improvement.

You act like the portal is closed. Be patient. There will be another open roster spot here soon for you.

There are currently two available scholarships (Sissoko & Burford). I’m sure Pedon knows what he has and what he needs. Although some on the board here know more about what Pedon needs than he does, I will give the benefit of the doubt to Coach Pedon.

I think Lieb we can live with. Nothing wrong with having a reserve 7'er.

The remaining 3... Pedon may have told them their minutes would be "very restricted" if they returned and put the ball in their court to leave or not. Real bummer Davis and Kasubke didn't pan out. Especially Kasubke, one of the highest scoring players in MO HS history... Was very gunshy from the field in a Redbird jersey. Should have been a 6th man who was instant offense.

I dont understand how JK is overlooked at being the pg for next year. Maybe his size is the cause for it idk. Unless there is a diamond in the rough at pg in the portal, jk have to be that guy. I just don’t like the idea of turning over too much. Could be a wolf in disguise to me. There is plenty time to go after and get what he want by way of portal too.

Lotta folks on here seem to expect Pedon to "turn it around" next year, no reason why DePaul can't make some progress.

DePaul is so far down the food chain that is the Big East, it is going to take a few miracles to pull them into the middle of the pack there. They would stand a much better chance of mediocrity if they played in the A10.

They haven’t had a legit coach in decades and the portal changes everything. You’ll see.

I really liked his defensive game and energy. I was hoping somehow we might be in the mix.

Mullins recruited this kid hard when he was at SIU. I'm sure that relationship is the reason he ended up at DePaul now that Mullins is an assistant at DePaul.

DePaul doesn’t have the NIL $$$ to compete with the bigger, more successful big East programs. Who knows, they might win 5-6 games next year.

We have less of a climb to get to the top of the Valley than the mountain that is facing DePaul. Just look at the budgets and NIL resources of other Big East programs. It’s a pretty steep task.

DePaul’s NIL is 4-5x what it was last year. Are they UCONN? No. Is it enough to compete? Yes

Besides winning their conference tournament, DePaul just needs to finish 3rd to 5th in a 11 team league to have a legite shot at an at large. They don't have to be at Connecticut's level.

You gotta believe DePaul has a lot of room to improve in NIL -- they've got a major business school, law school, largest Catholic university in the country, lotsa good memories from some of the older alums about the "good old days". Lots of room for growth there.

DePaul has a massive amount of room to improve, but can they/will they. Winning cures all so only time will tell but you cannot deny the Herculian task in front of them.
