I mentioned this in another thread but figured it would be a fun discussion to have.

I saw a tweet that describes Chas very well.

Who else in the MVC has had this reputation in the past? My original thought was Baker, but Chas doesn't flop and actually takes charges. I'm sure there are some obvious ones I am forgetting. I'm trying to think of those guys who seemed to be the the league forever but weren't necessarily "scorers."

Some great suggestions in the other thread from Hulka who said Lucas O'Rear, ISU FAN 1 suggested Mike Vandegarde and Mark Golden, and DWRedbird adding in Tekele Cotton to the mix. I bet other MVC fans might put Paris Lee in this category. He was a four year starter at PG and lead the league in steals.


Who else do you think?

The 2 guys that come to mind are Randal Falker and Bryan Mullins. That Saluki team was incredibly scrappy and full of talent.

Also another name I came across from Bradley: Sammy Maniscalco. Hated that Bradley team but in retrospect, I have respect for how hard a couple of those Jim Les teams played.

He might be the all-time Valley glue guy. Especially if we’re talking hustle and grit overlapping talent. Somewhere, Mark Adams is smiling!
