SIU beats SLU by 41, missing their best player or not, wow

They were on fire - 18-29 from downtown and the SLU guard did not get the benefit of 20 shots at the free throw line.

The problem for him is like Muller. Those conference championships didn’t bring NCAA bids because they cancelled in 2020. Would they have made it then? Likely. Just the unfortunate Covid situation. Jake hasn’t made the tourney since 15-16. He’s getting paid a lot of money to make it. 4 losing seasons and a .500 season (16-16) since that last bid has to weigh on them. When you look at that .500 season, that includes 2 non-D1 wins, Chicago State, and Alcorn State. Most of those under .500 seasons have multiple no -D1 wins.

Just to note, we were 10-21 in 2020 then but beat them 76-70 in MVC game 1.

Maybe he’s got it figured out now. They’ll just take losses all conference season and then win their first 4 in St Louis.
