That is how the Birds beat BU in the first game at the Civic Center. Birds up 3 with a couple seconds left and BU has the ball out of bounds under their own basket - as soon as the ref handed the ball to the player - the ISU players all dropped back to the 3-point line - I believe it was Pollard for BU - yelled for the ball under the basket - took the pass and made the deuce at the buzzer. Birds win by one - game over.
