If Loyola gets to 15 or 16 wins in regular season play and loses in mvc tournament do they get the short end of the stick like isu did last year? Big win is at Florida. Bad loss is at uw Milwaukee.

No chance they dance. Their non conf schedule is horrid. 150 spots worse than ours was last year.

While I would love to be a 2 bid league, I would be pissed that their resume made it, and ours from last year was good enough. No way the rest of the field has taken a step that far back for Loyola's resume to be good enough.

The difference is the rest of the conference also had wins over P5 teams this season as opposed to last year.

:text-+1: plus having a top 25 victory is a big boost as well as being the outright winner of the regular season conference record. It will definitely be a real bubble team.

You guys are right. Shockers had fallen out of the top 25 before they played us. They did re-enter the polls shortly after we beat them.

It's really a mute point. Polls aren't looked at by the selection committee.

Starting to think Loyola, ISU, Bradley and SIU will occupy the top four seeds at Arch Madness in some order.

That would be a fun Arch Madness.

Most teams should bring a decent crowd because anyone can win it this year.

Or wait to attend until Saturday to see if they made it out of the quarters

I still see Bradley as a pretender, their win at Indiana State notwithstanding. When you factor the inconsistency of Brown and Kennell, the general ineffectiveness of Koch Bar, and tough road games coming up, there is still a strong probability of Thursday play-in.

Boise beat them by 34. Even at 18-4, if Boise doesn’t win the MWC, they are getting in ahead of LUC for one of the few non-P5 bids. I could see the MWC with only two bids as well. Their losses to Indiana State and Missouri State - basically any conference loss - will hurt them.

My guess based upon watching teams play is Loyola high probability of first place and likely no one close. Thereafter it gets interesting but I will go with:

1. Loyola
2. SIU
3/4 . ISU or Drake
5 /6. Bradley or Mo State

we have Drake at home, who I'm not sure we can beat if they play near the way they played last time. Can't we beat SIU?
Also, starting to feel Bradley is going to take one from us, soon.

There's a LOT of basketball left to be played. According to KenPom, current conference SOS indicates that teams like Loyola and Bradley could be in for a rough end of the season, while teams like ISU and others have an easier route.

Should be an exciting finish!
