I could be wrong. My guess is only up 1 or 2 and them in the bonus, you don’t need to pick up a foul on missed FT battle for a rebound that puts them at the line to tie or take the lead.

That and you have all 5 guys in front of their 5. Someone might have a better reason though.

I wondered the former, too. On the final shot, he was 3-5 feet behind the arc with a hand in his face. I thought we defended it well.

When is the last time a Bird team came back from a 15 point deficit and won on the road? Hit just enough 3s in the second half to pull it out. Offensive rebounds and hitting fts was outstanding.

In all honesty, before the year, I was figuring somewhere around a .500 year in conference and overall record, give or take a bit...and recognizing that would be an improvement. We have to avoid these double digit deficits and we need to manufacture some easy buckets.

Still a ways to go, though. Like it or not, PeeeeeU plays a TOUGH game. Very interested to see how Kinziger and Walker play on Sat, and they'd better be ready. VERY interested to see JohnnyK and Hickman match up. We need an engaged and very spirited crowd. This will be a litmus test. I'm not optimistic on a result, but hoping for a surprise.
