Perhaps the hyperbole is at an all time high because the frustration level is nearing an all time high.
Seven years ago ISU fans were told championships were the goal, and recently they had been told they were about to watch the most talented team to wear the red and white in the past seven years. To make those promises and deliver two NITs and five CIT/CBI quality results seems to violate the rule of avoiding over-promising and under-delivering.
Harry Potter's mentor spent less time in Azkaban than ISU fans have had to wait to see the next NCAA tournament banner hung in Redbird Arena.
