As we know, a verbal means nothing. Commits don't mean anything until the kids get to campus. But could be huge for Dana to continue to grow. He's special.
Verbal Commits lists him as a 2* with limited offers.

Listed as a 3* here. with again, little interest.
Could this be a bit of a Chris Payton situation? Early verbal commit and then gets word he will blow up throughout the summer and get more offers? Time will tell.
For what it's worth Verbal now has him up to a 3* because Rival marked him as a 3* and they tend to just either take the 1 ranking if there is only 1 or average ESPN/Rivals/Scout if there is more than 1 with 2* being their default if no star is provided.
247's Scouts also have him as a 4* and the 106th Ranked recruit for 2020 but when plugged into their algorithm (which I believe takes into account other public recruiting services, which either haven't scouted him or made their eval public) have him listed as a 3* and the 166th best recruit in the 2020 class.
247 also has an article out there about how he is starting to garner High Major interest, so I'll be curious too if he carries his commit all the way through or if someone gets in his ear.
247 has him as 3-star (as of this moment) with Yale as the only offer . . . https://247sports.com/Player/Ford-Cooper-46050255/
If he was truly 4-star and the only documented offers were Boston U., Tulane, Yale, and Mo State . . . that tells he was either over-rated, is not likely to be eligible, or there's something keeping the big boys away.
May very well be an absolute steal for Dana. Could also never make it to campus.
