Mark, my man, you need to pay attention to actual game play and statistics. Luke was not a primary scorer. Yes, he had some great games, but they were few and far between. He was either hot and couldn’t miss . . . or cold and couldn’t hit the ocean when swimming in it. He was mostly the latter, thus only 4 pts/game.

I get your frustration. I do. But let’s complain about the right things . . . with the right examples . . . and taking into account the moves already made.
Agreed. We may miss his defense a bit but definitely not a primetime scorer, at least in our offense. Loved the intangibles he brought.

I would have to have Mel correct me. It may have been based on who he was assigned to guard, but it seemed that he tended to give up a decent amount of scoring. Again, that could have been drawing an opponent’s top scorer.

In a strictly one-on-one situation, Luke and Mal, imo, have been our 2 best defenders in the last 2 seasons. However, numerous teams ran us through multiple screens and hoops&loops&doops in a single possession, and when that took place, both - at times - got lost. Which is easy to do. In part, that is defensive team concept shortcomings, which I put on coaching as much as player shortcomings.

Not a bad deal, we get Bison leading scorer and rebounder for our #7 scorer and #10 rebounder. Good luck to Luke.
Looks good on paper… this will be a good litmus test of stats relative to conf competition.

As many have stated Luke played hard for the Redbirds and always with a good attitude. I hope he does well.
