Jefferson is not good on D. And he hasn't been hitting his shots. Those two things can kill confidence. And a lack of confidence can bleed into poor practices (just ask Boogie). He's got to buy in or he's not going to see the floor much.

I noticed he didn't even take his warm ups off (at least in the 2nd half), so I don't think he was even planning on playing today.

Have you looked a Heins numbers? They are bad. I think my 8 year old kid could shoot better. It’s pretty sad.
Coach Muller also said on WJBC after the game that Hein's numbers of 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 0 turnovers and his defense are why Hein plays.

Hein must not be getting credit for some of the bounce passes he throws to the other team. If he takes out the low percentage bounce pass in the lane from his game, our offensive chances should go up. No need to try and force a ground pass through 3 defenders to the feet of a post player. When Hein comes in and plays his role, I'm fine with that. However, if DM is going to hook players for a mistake (turnover, missed defensive assignment leading to a wide-open made 3), he should do so evenly.

If Hein is asked to do less on the offensive end he might as well stay in the defensive end full time.

A few of those rebounds landed in his lap. Even a blind squirrel can find a nut.

Or a squirrel who knows where a nut is likely to fall and hangs out under the right part of the tree. Some of you act like our players are in the Twit Olympics. Those guys would tear your old fat asses a new one

Muller has too many bad options to choose from. For the love of God, can’t he find 8 serviceable players.

Broken collarbone in Monday’s practice. Out 3-5 weeks.
Aka out for the season. Strong O and very weak d. He did have a role if not in the doghouse and playing with right combo of players. ...aka no Hein or Tinsley on floor at same time. Too bad as he could have added value if utilized properly. Thin/weak ISU bench just got thinner/weaker

That sucks. I hope he gets healthy soon. He wasn't a part of the rotation the last few games, but would hopefully have a Boogie like reemergence. He'll be back for the MVC tournament.

Muller mentioned he hopes Jefferson returns to practice early next week. His injury was not a complete break, like you might see in a football game, it was more of like a chip of the collarbone more under his chin than under the side of his face.
