WOW!!! That was exactly what the birds needed. The OC wasn't playing today. Spectacular play calling.I am guessing that Brady will keep a few as the season goes on. He had a few opportunities today, but never the less HUGE win. That should keep us atop the MVFC for now... Man I love the RB'S. Beast Mode Back's.

Man was that fun! Their fans were awesome considering we just ended their season. No, wait. Didn’t Northwestern have a pretty solid year after we ended theirs?

Congratulations to the Redbirds. They had better team speed and dominated both lines. God it was hot in Fort Collins today.

I think our RB tandem could stack up against any P5 school. You could tell by the announcers commentary that we have something very special with these two stellar backs and our massive and talented OL. What’s even more exciting is that 4 out 5 Olineman will be back next year and both RBs. We could be watching some B10 type football in our own backyard over the next few years. Very exciting time to be a Redbird fan.

Favorite comment heard from the sidelines...

“It’s dog vs bone. You’re the dog, now go get that f’ing bone!”
Hell yeah!

Terrific victory for the Birds yesterday. Anybody know if there is anywhere to watch a replay of the game?

Whoever #71 is, he will be playing on Sundays.

Drew Himmelman

If he stays healthy I believe he will be the highest drafted Redbird ever.

I agree. Who is the highest drafted Redbird of all time, and where was he drafted?

Yep, Brock was talking about him before he even played a snap. He said some pro scouts were on campus and talking with him about a couple of our seniors. Then Himmelman walks by and the scouts went 'who's that'? Coach goes, ah he's only a redshirt freshman. He's like 6'10, 315 lbs with hardly any body fat, so genetically I would consider him a monster. Scouts always talk about arm length when looking for LT's, so I'm pretty sure Drew's got that covered. He could easily be 330 lbs by his senior year. I'm predicting a first rounder if he avoids serious injury.

Here's the CSU coach's after game press conference. He said going into the game he was a bit worried about how big our O-Line was.

To the best of my knowledge it was WR Laurent Robinson. 3rd Round. I believe 75th overall pick by the Falcons in 2007.

Thanks for the link for the game replay,, Timmy. Pretty impressive performance by the Birds. Lots of good stuff others have already pointed out. This was already mentioned as well, but I wanted to reiterate our play in the trenches, on both sides of the ball. Lots of big holes opened up all game long by the O line. Wow. And that's supposed the be where FBS usually has the edge. Bigger and deeper between the hashmarks. But we look really big, strong and fast. Good stuff.

Yes that’s for the link. I was able to watch the game in about 30 mins with the 15 second fast forward option. Almost every play is 30-40 seconds apart so it was perfect. Great performance from the Birds. Take care of business and the St. Xavier game won’t even matter
