When it comes time to talk playoffs, Redbird Athletics can bid more aggressively for any games that align with Hancock’s availability. In the meantime let’s fill our hotels and dazzle potential Redbird recruits every year!

And beer! We’ll have the brewery next door open and others are opening or expanding in Uptown, as well. A new hotel in North Normal opens this month, too. The Town of Normal is definitely priming itself to become a conference and sports tournament destination.

I'm fairly neutral on this. I really enjoyed having IHSA at Hancock but I also enjoy the home playoff games. I really wish there were only 6 classes/championship games. I understand different advantages based on school sizes and such, but why stop at 8? Why not crown 22 champions? : )

tend to agree 8 dvisions seems like too many. I get why football has more ... it is very physical game and requires much bigger roster - it is safety issue for sure. But 6 divisions would seem to be enough. Another idea is to go to 8-man football for smallest divisions ... though I might not like if I were a player at that level. In addition to safety, it would also even playing field financially.
