I'm a little surprised Pedon didn't keep him around, but I guess the budget only allows 2 GAs.
Only 2 GAs on staff. He mentioned that he potentially had a position within the athletic department but that was just prior to Kyle being let go

Long time fans will probably remember Myron Litwiller from the late 60's-early 70's. He bridged the Jim Collie/"small college" era and the DI/Will Robinson era. As a 6'5 "power forward", he was a pretty tough dude playing those early D1 schedules under Coach Will. He played "small school" HS ball in Armington, down the road from Normal. RIP.

His son Jon played 2 years for us in early to mid 90's. RIP, Redbird.

Myron and Sarah are my next door neighbors. He was such a joy and always loved watching my kids play in the backyard. He will be missed.

Not a former Redbird, but didn’t want to start a new thread . . . I know I can honestly say I didn’t think Fred van Vleet would ever get a contract like this . . .

Today's Indianapolis Star has a story about the Top 10 Incoming Transfers in Indiana Unversity in the last 30 years (27 of them). Nick Zeisloft was picked #6.

"They have a need for shooting, and I can supply that," Zeisloft said at the time of committing to IU.

Oh, what IU fans would do these days for a sharpshooter like Zeisloft. Primarily a bench player, the son of an IU alum hit 128 3s over two seasons at a 43% clip.

Well, IMHO, in no "real world" should anyone get that kind of dough to play any sports. World has gone off the graph!! Get off my lawn! :)
Yeah, but the owners shouldn't get to keep all the money either. Would be happy if salaries drop only after the results of ticket prices dropping in price.

If a college can get $50 m+ just because they happen to be in a conference that has a big TV contract (Big Howevermany) then the players who are actually the ones playing on TV deserve most of that.
