The power forward for ECU put up 26 points that game. I wonder if that was Rey's assignment or if he guards the other teams center.

Reason issue has always been slow feet on defense. I have seen a sevwral of his games. He is definetely playing better offensively but still not strong defensively

Have you watched our bigs defense? They look like a Matador on defense. They have a difficult time staying in front of their assignment.

I have watched them and commented numerous times how bad their defense is in several threads. Whats your point?

Was looking at the SMU roster today ahead of their game vs. Tulsa and Idowu, and I see Jon Ekey is video coordinator for SMU. Says he's in his 5th year, not sure if all at video coordinator.

The big benefit for Rey at Tulsa are 1) more minutes, 2) playing consistently with another 4/5 on the floor, which also helps with defensive matchups and 3) playing in an offense that has him closer to the hoop. Last year he should have been on the floor more, should have been on the floor with Fisher or another 4/5 in rotation, and he should have been able to play some in an offensive scheme that worked to get him the ball on the block.

You are dead in with that. Our post offense does nothing for a kid with moves on the block. Also there tends to be some improvement as kids get older. It is lost on some on this board who expect every freshman and sophomore to be studs day one.

No we see the improvement in guards, well mostly. Copeland never really developed beyond being a shooter. Keyshawn lost his shot and it affected the rest of his game. Horne and Reeves are a fine trajectory. Let’s see how Fleming builds.

We haven’t had a big develop since Fayne. First Ndiaye, Idowu (showing more improvement outside of ISU than while here), etc. Fisher quit. I don’t understand why we even gave Sy a shot. Whoever is coaching up bigs needs to go.

I think this happened a couple of weeks ago but Josh Jefferson is in the transfer portal with 1 year of eligibility.
