I don't think many of us expected this score. I know I didn't.

Why not? Like I said when players know their specific roles really good teams are formed. Attach that to High Baaketball IQ and wins will come. D2 or not it was a great showing.

Agree. @Popsto4 was tonight's starting 5, the 5 you expect for opening night? Seems like it is going to be difficult not to start Burford, Pence, or Foster?

I do expect this starting 5 to start on opening day. As great as DB is getting buckets, being put in to do just that matches his character to a Tee. He is a scorer that’s his greatest skill. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Pence crack the starting line up at some point in the season. Foster is a banger down low and will get plenty of minutes.

Pops....I expected us to win by 15 or so. I did not expect us to be 38 at any point in the game. GREAT PERFORMANCE.

Yeah I might be jumping the gun but, I think this team have enough to be at or near the top of the MVC seriously I do. This team have a true 1 and bigs that can bang as well as pass the ball. That allow players to play their game suites to their skill set. There can be an inside out game. This team have smart pieces this year, no one need to be trying to do too much and to me that’s the biggest difference.

First world problems. Sad. Were we supposed to give Wesleyan 200 tickets up in the corner like any other game and leave seating the same as any game? Horton is GA as well. They were trying to drive community interest and treat it like a special game for the community. This got more butts in the seats.
Sounded like a slow start then we clamped down the D. Radio guys were good at describing the game, but ESPN+ would have been nice. Or wipe the cobwebs off the old streaming system
Wish I could have been there, in the lower bowl, to experience it. My daughters family went in my place. BTW. I hear of bad ratings for Reggie on not getting done with his between game break until a few minutes in. A 5 year old I know was in distress.

I like that we seem to have plenty of players to provide a spark off the bench. Whether that spark is scoring, physicality or energy.

My boy and I sat in two seats that were empty. Some dude walks up and says “those are my seats”. Lol
I was like you weren’t here when I got here. He was like- I left and came back. Uh ok.

We arrived early for the terrific Women’s game, sat in the first row, a modest upgrade from our seventh row season tickets. I think it was great that the lower bowl was almost full before the end of the Women’s game, and I was certain some latecomer would complain about not getting there in time to find lower bowl seats.

Since this was an Exhibition and a Charity Fundraiser - I had ZERO problem or issues with how the seating was handled. It was communicated well in advance. NO need to be a Grumpy Gus for no reason. For ISU season ticket holders like myself (since 1992) - we got the tickets at NO Charge. The IWU and others all had to pay $20 a piece. I had NO problem with making a few of the sections in the lower bowl, designated specifically for IWU - heck a lot of those are also ISU fans by the way. It was meant to be friendly event and it worked perfectly.
Good the Titan pep band was there - larger than the ISU pep band, and those students looked like they had more fun - filled an entire section. Had five Tuba's vs only two for the Birds. Also, IWU student section was full, while ISU was not.
