A team that plays similar to Belmont, just not as effectively (yet). Lots of points on both ends. Would feel better if this wasn't at the Ford Center.

This is the first time im feeling confident in a few weeks so that should mean we are due for a letdown. HOWEVER,

Shots not falling. Need to feed it to Foster underneath. You have to commit bodily injury to get a foul called (both ways). Gotta quit trying to shoot into taller defenders. Create space and go over or around.

And now the Birds are getting called for fouls . . .

Our guards are getting killed on mismatches down low. Banks isn't awake yet and Lewis is a non factor on offense.

Sorry, you can’t defend even EU with 4 guards( especially a 5’10 one) and a 4, even if you are giving plenty of weak side help, which the Birds aren’t right now. They just isolate and go to the rim. Also, where is Davis?

This is a MAJOR problem (mismatches) imo that is not going away unless we change defensive strategy. BUT...our bigs HAVE to recognize when the guards are mismatched because of a switch out top and GET BACK TO THEIR BIG MAN. I'm surprised this hasn't been talked about more on this forum. With our switches we are sitting ducks for it.

Even with weak side help we give up way too many buckets on those guard mismatches. And it isn't the guards' fault!
