Even if he is healthy enough to play big mins the final week of the year, I hope he only gets 5-10 mins a game, and is limited in practice. Get some shots in and some run in the court but the only thing that matters is being 100% for STL

1-3 weeks seems optimistic and he won't be 100% for a couple months. There's damage to the bone. Let's be glad it's not worse cause it could have been. They do an MRI to rule out a fracture. The only real treatment is RICE.

Sounds in line with the preliminary report of return at arch madness. I really hope it's sooner

Based on what RK was telling me, I doubt it. He’s a reliable source but he needs to be wrong on this one.

Is he thinking he will miss arch madness or just that he won't be back before arch madness?

Same injury as last time, just don't rush him back. If he misses the next few weeks, so be it. Get him back for some light practices the week of 2/26, and then by STL have him ready to play 15-20 minutes and split time with EC

Man it’s hard to tell with an injury like this. Do they even want to play with fire?

Hopefully Evans gets healthy soon. In the meantime this is a great chance for Elijah to get going before arch madness. He played his best game against Southern so maybe he can use this as a spring board to finish strong.

Exactly. Opportunity to get others better. If Key is at 100% by March, ISU will be better off for getting others valuable PT. Maybe someone emerges to give ISU a Big 4 heading into Arch Madness.

I just hope we can stay afloat to avoid Thursday play in St Louis. Seems unlikely that we would end up there but it is the valley in February and no game comes easy!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but both times he injured it wasn't due to contact with anybody. Just kind of gave out. So his knee is just weak and needs some rest. It wasn't like an unlucky event that injured him. He probably wasn't fully recovered when they brought him back the first time, and it kinda looked like that when he played. He was finally playing like his old self again. He probably needs the full three weeks this time.

I’m guessing with as soon as Key came back last time, he was the one that made the call as to when he was able to return. All depends on how he responds to treatment. Not everyone recovers at the same rate.

Nice to see Clarance, Tinsley, and Ndaiye set up in Evans absence.

A bone bruise is caused by repetitive impact. Running and landing. Runners get them all the time. So while I wouldn't necessarily call it weak he may have come back to soon. He needs as much time off of it as he can get. 3 games in 3 days could be really tough. Only time will tell. :(
