Solid weather. Can’t hurt things.
Is that a tease . . . or a commit?
It's very common for kids to have photo shoots during their visits and post pictures. One of my friend's son is a big football recruit and went on a lot of visits to power 5 schools and posted pictures of himself with at least 5-6 programs before he made a commitment. That being said, he looks great in an Illinois State uniform and cool that coach Pedon and his parents (I'm assuming) are in the photos. He clearly had a great time. When he posted this, his comment with the post was "Redbird Nation?? So no official commitment, but clearly a positive sign that we're at least in contention. If it clearly wasn't a fit, he wouldn't post this.Is that a tease . . . or a commit?
So . . . long way of saying . . . you're not sure? It's very common for kids to have photo shoots during their visits and post pictures. It's not a commitment. About 100% of kids who commit to a program will eitherSo . . . long way of saying . . . you're not sure?
Thanks, Cap’n.It's not a commitment. About 100% of kids who commit to a program will either
A. Post pictures from their visit with "COMMITTED!" in the post
or
B. Post pictures with a screenshot of an iphone note with something like: "Thank you to all of the coaches who reached out and recruited me. After much consideration with my family and friends, I have decided to continue my athletic and academic career at (school). Thank you (head coach) and (lead assistant) for this opportunity! Lets get to work (mascot) nation!"
or
C. "COMMITTED!" With an animated video of the schools' logo and a photo shop of them in the uniform.
Interesting enough about this one specifically- Luke, KLew and Mal all commented on the post and followed him. Even the new guy, Ty Pence got in on the action following and saying, "Yk (you know) what to do," and Elijah sent the back. He picked up follows from the core 4 (Luke, Mal, DB, and Klew) as well as Ty this weekend. I still thinks he takes his visit to BC, but am hopeful he built a relationship up with some of the guys and Coach P that will prove to be more valuable than being in the cellar of the ACC.
New Balance gear is so bad.He just posted this after his trip to Boston College. In the same way as him posting to Redbird Nation, this is not a commitment.
Bruh he literally has his AAU and assistant HS coach on Twitter cheerleading holding out for biggest offer. He’s 100% a handler and would push him to a bad situation just to tell his AAU kids “I got Elijah to P5.” I hope BC works out for him, but Nick Jones left a bad impression on me.Maybe the kid just went with what was the best fit for him, or where he wanted to go? Just because he gets insight from others too I don’t think that means a ‘handler’. That gets thrown around a lot and too loosely imo.
I think he took his time and found a where he wanted to go. Good for him.
There’s a difference between being in the corner and publicly pimping a kid to St John’s while he’s on his BC visit.Sounds like coaches I’d want to have in my corner. End of the day still his choice.
