He does remind me of Plee a little. Obviously, its limited in the highlights but it looks like he plays the passing lanes really well. He showed some ability to shoot it in this video. Only negative is that he is listed on the highlights as a 2 guard. I assume Muller will look to Juco for a PG, though Boyd and Copeland could continue to grow into that role.

Trinity has won their conference back to back years now.

They are 19-7 (8-2 in conference)

Am I understanding this correctly that they only have to win four games in order to win state?

Whereas here its more like 2 regional games, at least two sections, then your in the elite eight, final four, then championship game? I could be off.

NCISAA is North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association. So it's ONLY for independent schools, which I assume are like private schools here. So they have a separate association unlike here where every one is under the IHSA.

In 1A there are only 26 schools. https://www.ncisaa.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/2018-19-4-Classifications-Sheet1-3.pdf

And here are the 1A Brackets. Trinity is the 2 seed. https://www.ncisaa.org/playoff-brackets/?sport=13&currentyear=1

He is a pg and only averages 2.3 assist?!

Sounds like more of a combo guard.
"There's not a lot of pure point guards today. He's not one of those because he's a scoring point guard, but he's really quick," said Muller. "He guards and plays both ends of the court."

agree with Muller that he does not have to be a pure pg...however I hope horne has good fundamental ball handling skills and can keep defenders a bit off balance with the dribble...that is something that is sorely missed on the current Redbird team as not one current guard has good ball handling skills.

Can he break down his defender and get in the lane with the ball?

My biggest question too, as I think this is what we are sorely lacking.

that would be a super bonus. We currently do not have one pg that can bring the ball up and start the offense with ease....they all struggle with that fundamental, IMO. Our pg's labor bringing the ball up the court and while running the offense.

I agree, we don't have a PG who can facilitate an offense. Right now once our guards get the ball down the court we struggle to set up an offense or run it, and dribbling is not any of our players strong suit. I'd love for Horne to be able to do this from the word go.

Would be nice to complement Horne with an outside shooter. Lincoln Railsplitter guard Kaden Froebe has been hitting 3s since 5th grade travel ball and consistently makes his free throws. Only a junior but a very good shooter. Last time I checked Lincoln was 24-3.
