Got to admit, I love that he is doing something like this .. though i have no idea if the camp is any good ... but it can only help him fine tune his skills. Equally important is getting on same page with his OC and WR group ... summer OTAs needs lots of reps and leadership from QB position.

Being a counselor at the Manning camp is huge. Brady is in good company. They don't take just anybody. Here's a partial list: Trevor Lawrence (Clemson), Jake Fromm (Georgia), Jarret Guarantano (Tennessee), Jake Bentley (South Carolina), KJ Costello (Stanford), Ian Book (Notre Dame), Justin Herbert (Oregon), Rhett Rodriguez (Arizona), Nate Stanley (Iowa), Tommy Stevens (Penn State), Brady Davis (Illinois State), Jarrett Doege (Bowling Green), Ben Hicks (Arkansas), Jordan Love (Utah State), J.T. Daniels (Southern Cal), Jack Abraham (Southern Miss), Matt Corral (Ole Miss) and others. I read 52 guys have gone on to the NFL.

During the day, the counselors work with the young quarterbacks. After the afternoon session, the college guys work with the Manning’s and other coaches and players on film study as well as passing mechanics.

I'm very excited for him. It's a big deal and he's gotta be jacked to be there. Brady's got a ton of ability. He's a natural leader. Now he's got to harness and refine it.

Trevor Lawrence is going to moonwalk into the top overall pick in the next draft and possibly be crowned the heir apparent to Andy Dalton or Matt Stafford (Whichever team is worse).

If you are part of the Manning camp, you are there for a reason. This is an exceedingly good thing. Any time a player from ISU gets a chance to get lessons from Peyton Manning, they have a HUGE advantage over other FCS programs.

100%

This is great for Brady especially but the entire program. I am very excited to see what Davis can do this year. I think he takes a HUGE step.

Pantagraph reports that Davis enjoyed his experience. He is very confident in his improved knowledge of the Redbird offense, and in the overall group of receivers. He learned a couple of drills that he will try implementing with the QBs and receivers at ISU.

Good read and scoop from Randy at Pantagraph ... thanks hulka https://www.pantagraph.com/sports/college/football/isu-s-davis-enjoys-time-with-mannings/article_f3859180-4186-5343-bdc9-06ff65e7f791.html

The Redbirds koolaid is starting to taste legit good ... sounds like he is totally focused and in charge. Full offseason should pay dividends getting ready for August. The other aspect is he won't be limited to 50/50 reps like last August with Kolbe in picture ... meaning, it is his team ... that also means a lot come August, his teammates know he is the starter and leader of this team ... this is a very good thing.

Now he and OC Beathard need to figure each other out and get on same page. Beathard is the QB whisperer type. he is not a yeller and screamer .. he thinks before he speaks .. this is also very good for an OC. Let the position coaches yell at the other players that need it.

Good encouraging stuff ... https://www.pantagraph.com/sports/college/football/isu-s-davis-enjoys-time-with-mannings/article_f3859180-4186-5343-bdc9-06ff65e7f791.html

Davis also is encouraged by an ISU receiver group led by Andrew Edgar.

After reading this thread I am going to double my order of Redbird Kool-Aid. Could we start the season earlier this year? I am thinking the Davis/Beathard combo is going to be magical this season.

Reminder to go very light on Pantagraph quotes. If you quote the best lines from an article our RBF.net readers will read the post and they may not click on the actual article. Let's make sure that The Pantagraph and Randy Reinhardt get all the clicks they deserve so that we will continue to get good information like this.

looks like you removed my Davis quote from article, and inadvertently included some of RBFans post though. If he sues me for plagiarism, I'm coming after you !!!
