Pollard writes that all five are quarantined ... “The virus is here and a real threat for our department.”
It is being mentioned and reported. Did you also miss the reporting on doctors in California are now on record as being "pressured" to put down COD as Covid-19 without any proof that it was Covid-19? BTW, CDC is not reporting 100,000 deaths either. I am not sure what news stories you look at. But here are a few for suicide increasing, and as mentioned, more suicide deaths than Covid-19 deaths in certain areas:Have I missed news stories about 100,000 deaths just in the last three months from suicides and from "any" virus or bacteria other than COVID-19???
You would think that might have been mentioned by somebody.
RT was formerly known as Russia Times. The NYPost is a sensationalist "news" outlet. And the Washington Examiner is a right-wing "news" outlet. So, you've offered some fairly biased points of view. Do you have anything from JAMA, New England Journal of Medicine, the Lancet, or other strongly reputable medical news outlets? It is being mentioned and reported. Deadlier than Covid? Medics sound alarm as lockdown suicides SOAR in US – and health officials knew it would happen
After two months of devastating lockdown, doctors at one California clinic say they’ve seen more suicides than Covid-19 deaths – and they’re not alone. But warning signs were there since day one. Why have they been ignored?www.rt.comWe must count the deaths from shutdowns as well as from coronavirus
Since the coronavirus shutdown began, nearly 17 million Americans have lost their jobs. That’s one-tenth of the nation’s workforce. It’s a public-health disaster. If the shutdown drags on, as many …nypost.comCalifornia doctors say they’ve seen more deaths from suicide than coronavirus since lockdowns - Washington Examiner
Doctors in Northern California say they have seen more deaths from suicide than they’ve seen from the coronavirus during the pandemic.“The numbers are unprecedented,” Dr. Michael deBoisblanc of John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, California, told ABC 7 News about the increase of deaths by...www.washingtonexaminer.com
Did you also miss the news stories about home abuse and divorce rates are on the rise? Did you know that for child abuse, schools are one of the biggest helpers in identifying and helping those in that situation?
So yeah, "
“The virus is here and a real threat for our department.”
The virus is here, and it is not leaving. Just like H1N1 did when it hit the scene (almost 70 million infected in the US in the first year). Looks like Iowa State is following the generally accepted protocol when someone tests positive (I did not see if this was a confirmed test or just a symptomatic test).
Are you trying to appeal to authority here? Are you saying that what is printed is untrue and those that work on those lines that get the data the fastest/quickest in their respective areas are not valid? Are you saying that there has been no impact to the other areas of society? As an example, are you saying that the suicide prevention number in Indiana stating that they went way up is incorrect and those people cannot look at a call log and read it properly? Are you saying the people that are quoted stating what has happened in prior events and seeing the rise during those events are incorrect? This is based on passed events, not "modals", like we saw with Covid-19 from those "experts". You can wait 6 months to a 1 year before something is "printed" in JAMA ect.RT was formerly known as Russia Times. The NYPost is a sensationalist "news" outlet. Do you realize 2 things on H1N1. 1, H1N1 still circulates and kills a lot of people during the "flu" season each year (also part of your "flu" shot) and as a virus, it mutates. 2. The H1N1 tracking during that 2009 found that 80% of those deaths were below 65 years of age, speculated that those older had some type of the strain and developed immunity from something similar in the past.H1N1 killed approximately 12,500 in the US. COVID 19 just passed 109,000.
I'm saying your sources are suspect. You might also want to actually check the medical and science journals to see what's being published before you make blanket statements. MSM (regardless of leaning) are looking for clicks, so they offer links to whatever studies/opinions will generate clicks from their target audience. gAre you trying to appeal to authority here? I gave some where it is reported. There are others, but I am not going to sift through to appease anyone. It may be in the other areas or out in 3 months, but use your logic here. Believe what you want.
With college athletes returning to campuses for workouts, the number of positive COVID-19 tests is rising. Alabama reportedly had five football players test positive.
Birdfriend, that is a terribly wrong/bad assumption that I do not know about the MSM. I did read the headlines, I looked at specific content/facts, not the thinly veiled opinion parts. Is this not called a micro-aggression? I need my safe space.I'm saying your sources are suspect. Need me to go on? C'mon, Ghost, you're smarter than this.
Sorry, according to Birdfriend, that is unreliable. From today's Madison paper. Must be very senior seniors to fit the "at risk" population some of our "experts" say is all we need to worry about:
