The last few years they have released the Conference Schedule the Tuesday after Labor Day. Hopefully this year is no different. I am ready to start making plans on a few road trips!

Indiana State's is out (Yes, I double checked that it is actually 17-18 season. We host the Sycs on 12/31, and visit Terre Haute Jan 20.

At first glance I don't see a "tough stretch" of games in a row. Maybe @InSU and @UNI but they are sandwiched with home games vs BU and Valpo. I guess with WSU gone, there isn't any teams that scare me or any possible stretches of games that seem worrisome...

No weekend ISU-BU games this year

And one of them on a holiday that makes it tough for some guys to watch basketball.

Sounds like a great date night. And, if not, you better plan a valentine's week 6-13th.

Tough non-con for a team losing major scoring, minutes and experience. Honestly, winning 7-8 games will be a challenge. DM made headlines for his comments on being essentially snubbed by P5 teams for scheduling but received a nice call from Ole Miss from it. I hope we can deliver some wins against these schools and other programs like Nevada and BYU. I like the schedule for the most part - young team with some tough games right out of the gate.

Is a tough stretch even possible with the current MVC membership?

Home against Valpo on the 27th but yes, if we have a "tough stretch" that will be it.

Thanks Source, fixed it. Don't know about Northern Iowa, but I think that Valpo & Missouri State are top 2 in Valley 2017-18, and Valpo & Illinois State top 2 in 2018-19 season. Much depends on if Copeland is eligible, and wearing a Redbird uniform in 2018-19 season.

Relatively speaking, "tough stretch" has been redefined. In all seriousness, the MVC slate is one big mediocre stretch. This is last year's conference without the Shox, and a Redbird team that lost just about everyone. Those teams were 17-1 last season, aided by a mediocre to bad bottom 8.

Are we having ongoing talks with the Illini visiting Redbird arena this season?

What? Doesn't even make sense. The schedule is already out. And, the Illini won't come to Redbird Arena unless forced (which was 5 seconds from happening). They're afraid of ISU now they'll be even more afraid of ISU should they turn into a Butler, Wichita, VCU type.

Gosh, you are probably right. I was reading an article in the "Bradley Boosters Boaster" yesterday that mentioned it.
