Would love to have CP as a Redbird. A guy his size and athleticism can thrive with Muller if they buy into Muller’s system.

But if he has locals in his ear all the time, it may be best for him personally to go elsewhere to get away from the entourage mentality. I know Dan and staff will do all they can to limit the influences, but having bad peeps in close proximity is tough to stifle.

And you know he’ll end up in Muller’s doghouse at some point. Everyone gets there at some point. And those local “voices” will be screaming in CP’s ear at that point.

It seems to me Chris has embraced becoming a big-man rather than a stretch 4. No outside shots in this highlight reel.

Probably more to do he was the second tallest on meanstreets. Only one inch behind the tallest...and Payton is only 6'7. Might be 6'8 in a few years by he should focus more stretch

With today's basketball style of position-less players a stretch 4 is an old school term... all desirable "4"s can shoot from the outside and can face the basketball offensively. Generally speaking if a player is an old school "4" and can't shoot he is challenged trying to earn playing time. There are exceptions..ie an Ethan Happ though Ethan has decent handles and is exceptional around the basket.

I honestly think we have enough guys shooting outside shots. We need some rebounding and clean-up. This guy looks good.

Says committed elsewhere. Probably placed there when he committed to ISU and when he decommitted they never got seriously involved again

Any ideas on what our chances are to still get him? I keep waiting for some big schools to offer him, but then it's Valpo and not Kansas. Has his stock suddenly fallen, or do we think a big school still scoops in at the last moment? Seems like it should've happened already. Love to see him as a Redbird still...

The final signing day for the fall period is November 21st (if he signs an NLI at least. He could always verbal again but I imagine Dan would require an NLI at this point). He has said he wants to havd it wrapped up by then. I think he would like to see isu play good before he commits but only a few games before November 21st. However, by happenstance Georgia is November 20th and clemson (assuming we both win) is November 21st and the game will be over before 3PM central time so plenty of time to sign if he waits until after the Clemson game.

I mean, he holds offers from three of the four, if that's what you're asking. Illinois has not offered again after he reopened his recruitment. He has not indicated any sort of "cut" to his list.

He holds offers from Murray State, Middle Tennessee, New Mexico, and the ones you've mentioned. I think it could be telling if he takes in either of our upcoming exhibition games or the FGCU game. I still have a feeling he will commit to wherever he is going in the Spring, that way he has another his senior season under his belt to try to build his stock more.
