Chase gets special mention, along with a Xavier recruit, for his performance in the all-star game last night in the newspaper story. Sounds like he was key down the stretch. I linked the story below - no videos, but lotsa stills, with a few of Chase. He sure looks like he dropped a few lbs.

Africentric’s Dailyn Swain’s 14 points and 10 from St. Charles’ Chase Walker, six of which came consecutively as the South boys forged ahead early in the second half, powered their team to a 109-99 win.

The South trailed 48-46 at halftime before Walker — who, like Swain, was a starter — flashed his talents. The Illinois State signee had layups on consecutive possessions, then caught a pass from Swain and went in for a one-handed dunk to make it 61-55.

“I wasn’t thinking about scoring or anything like that,” he said. “I was just sprinting, getting down the court and the ball found me. I was in the right place at the right time.

I saw some photos of chase recently on some else's phone so I don't have them to post. But he was looking jacked. I was hoping we could see that from this game.
So the long sleeves must be a ploy to disguise his makeover from future opponents. 😉

Yes sir, big change for him. I know the two guards are uber talented at scoring....I am most excited to see Chase play. I just hope coach can keep him here.

Oh I haven't heard anything negative about his grades or that he may not qualify or whatever. Is that possible?
Thought I remember an article from awhile back where he talked about the school being tough but he’s worked hard and has good grades

I've seen kids transform themselves over the years but this is really something. Incredible really.
That said when I saw the picture I thought he was squatting. I don't like the behind-the-neck press at all. Too much stress on the rotator cuff. There are plenty of other ways to build up your shoulders.

Holy smokes, look how trim Chase is looking now!

He’s in a boot but that’s been pretty normal this offseason so far. One day it’s a pic of him in a boot the next it’s him working out. No worries here…yet.

COLUMBUS, Ohio - ..."6-foot-9, 297-pound center intentionally lost more than 60 pounds over the past three months.

Fun fact: At his heaviest he was 405 pounds.
