Their screeners also pushed our guys into Timmer on the two four point plays. Once with a moving screen the other with a hip check. The hip check, was probably the most infuriating because it was the most obvious. Drake also used a lot of pushing our own guys into us for screens. On multiple occasions I watched one of their guys start moving when say Timmer was coming around and then they start pushing our guy like they are trying to get away, and we ran into each other. They were pulling out all the tricks they could, and the refs were eating it up like candy.

Real tired of the acting and dirty tricks. Wish the refs would catch on with some consistency.

I'm not real upset that the getting our guys to run into each other thing was working. Honestly that's something that can be handled by our guys talking to each other on defense, and we largely don't do that. What bothers me is there was a ton of illegal screens that weren't called. For a team like Drake (or Evansville) that gives them a real advantage. Drives me crazy. That said, we get away with it a lot too, so I'm not going to scream too loudly about it at the games hahaha.

Another hard fought win!

Agree on Timmer's acting ability as he overreacts every time he gets hit. That first half foul where Tinsley knocked him over was not a shooting foul. He was knocked into and then acted like he was in shooting motion -- replay clearly shows he was not going for a shot. He must have watched Duke videos on how to be a professional flop artist.

Tinsley was everywhere -- nice game on the boards. Hit a couple of 3s and had 4 blocks. He is gaining confidence at the right time.

The big three strike again -- great game from each of them. No one can stop MY except MY.

4 of Drakes starters are seniors -- they will be in trouble next year unless they have some surprise players coming in.

If you watch that first foul WT when Timmer got fouled on the 3, Timmer clearly travels on the play. Timmer shuffles his feet to move in to WT and then shoots the ball at the hoop.

They had so many moving screens it was ridiculous. There guards w/out the ball would do so much pushing off to get around a screen too.

That time MY just flat fell down while just standing there when he was dribbling with 45 seconds left in a close game, tho...

Am i the only one who is hoping to see the point forward thing go away? If Evans is in the game, he should be bringing the ball up.

Agreed!

I'd also like to see Milik work out of the post more against most MVC teams. When he does, it seems like our ability to find good shots and hit them goes up.

I'm right there with you. I want a guard bringing it up and starting the offense. I don't mind if MY gets the ball going toward the basket, but I don't like him just dribbling around at the top, it honestly makes me nervous.

Didn't that happen right after Evans left the game for a short time due to his knee?

He left due to cramping, not due to his knee.

That was what my "WTF Milik?" comment was about. To me, that was what has kind of been our season. Doing something inexplicable like falling down for no reason and giving away two points.
