Also forgot about Friedman... He did at least get Hancock (mostly) built unlike Zenger.

My wife did bring up a good point about what else could have happened on that trip. Rossi is a known heavy drug user so it is possible drugs were involved.
That’s hilarious. Zenger did everything to get Hancock done. Friedman wasn’t around long enough and was too busy buying $500 shoes

Just to be clear, he is known publicly to have tested positive for marijuana.

Former Reditus Labs CEO Aaron Rossi faces new legal jeopardy Thursday as he returns to federal court, with prosecutors alleging he broke the terms of his bond by using methamphetamine and violated an order by using confidential documents from his criminal case in a civil lawsuit.

I’m kind of hoping there’s more to this, because so far I haven’t heard anything worthy of a hustling AD ( a unicorn at ISU) losing their gig.

Zenger definitely did the initial design, planning and fundraising, but never got the project to construction because they didn't have the funds yet. The construction was about 2 years after he left. You're right though Friedman resigned before construction completed.

What credibility is left with the administration for athletics? Who approves this spending or the receipts and doesn’t stay anything? Who asks why everyone working for Brennan and Muhlhauser abruptly left? What does it say that the university doesn’t think there’s a single executive member who is fit to be interim? Why would donors give money when Muhlhauser is still there if this is his judgment? This warrants cleaning house up too and building back some credibility and dignity. It’s embarrassing.

Would you calm down? I would be absolutely shocked if Muhlhauser is still here. There will be fallout job losses/quitting.

At this point…. Plenty. I still don’t have proof that anyone did anything wrong other than Rossi

Someone who understands you have to spend money to make money.

What I find interesting about this whole situation is that we’ve always been told by the apologists for past ISU administrations is that Illinois State didn’t make efforts to advance Redbird football because the ISU community doesn’t like football, yet these donors were somehow talked in going to the BIG10 championship….hmmmm.

Not sure why. And it probably shouldn’t. It does however rub me the wrong way when they decided to go to a college athletic event to woo these donors. The same night of an ISU basketball event on top of that. Must’ve not felt super confident selling ISU.

It’s completely reasonable to feel that way for anyone that has a passion for Illinois State and its athletic dept.

Sometimes it's middle age men going thru a mid life crisis.
