Isn't it a little bit strange that Brennan's resignation is effective April 30th while Kinzy's was effective immediately in light of the current allegations?

I don't know. This is a pretty odd comment to let go on the record BEFORE officially announcing his firing or resignation.

In response to questions from WGLT on Wednesday, ISU acknowledged spending that “appears to be inconsistent with the University’s mission and values” and pledged a full financial review of Athletics.

They pretty much hung him out to dry. And there is wayyyyy too much info in that story for Ryan to have come up with on his own. He had lots of help. Its also not as if the admin didn't know about this trip. It was the Big ten championship in 2021. They've known for a long time.
How dare you cast aspersions upon ISU’s Ministry of Truth! We put the “Illinois” in State Controlled Media.

But jokes aside, I hold Ryan Denham in high esteem. I don’t think he’d allow himself to be spoon fed anything; if tips came his way it was his job to investigate and proceed from there.

Logged in and wondered how the hell there was a 90+ post thread in 5 hours in the middle of April. Wow.

It could be a number of things. The athletics business is unlike any other in these aspects. He started during COVID, which was stressful enough, but then doing everything else that was asked of him and getting constantly attacked would be mentally exhausting. I personally would never want that job.

Who were the people doing the constant attacking? I presume that's the people on message boards?

25k to secure 3mil of funny money for a blow up baggie given by the guy who got rich off covid but is now going to prison. You can't make this shit up.
I have the American Greed producer on the line and I wasn’t sure of a good summary until I read this. They said our episode will be on in conjunction with our trip to play in the 1st Annual Brett Favre Classic in Mississippi in November.

Facts:

-The university started building an IPF with far fewer resources than were needed. This was going to come up one way or another, but who knows who would have still been here when those payments came due.
-There is no public proof that any of the $6 million of lead gifts have been received. Even if up-to-half was, this project would be significantly short and the university on the hook for those funds to complete the project.
-Following these events, the naming rights for RBA were sold for $3 million over. 10 years. To note, a full auditing of these records should review if those funds are being allocated outright or through transfers to the IPF project.
-Flight manifests may have come out within the greater Rossi story. FOIA requests of university officials’ expenses happen.
-Brennan chose to come to ISU. He chose at accept a job during a declared pandemic. If he didn’t do his research about the landscape here, that would be his responsibility .

Questions:
-Is there more to this story? The university should attempt to speak to current and recently former employees for context about these concerns or any additional concerns with this administration.
-Who will be named interim AD? I would strongly suggest against anyone that came in with the Brennan regime. This person will likely have a lot of healing to do.
-Why did Brennan resign? Did he feel it would help him into his next venture? Was he offered an alternative - resign or termination? If this is handled like other ISU “resignations” then how much are we paying out?

I would assume that they found somewhere in the area to sit until things died down. They are at a Big Ten Game and there are Bars and food spots all right there in that area.
I would assume someone (even if not an ISU representative) could produce a receipt showing they were in a different establishment very close to the address where the Uber picked them up. If not, I think it's a fair assumption based on the time they walked a couple of blocks from the stadium and were in a strip club until 2:30am

The story is interesting enough that other boards have picked this up too.

I had to Google “IPF” and it stands for Ivory, Pippa the Strippa and Fantasia.

Were all receipts from the trip turned in when they returned from the trip. If so, there should be receipts from where they ate/drank from after the game until uber pickup. Of course if there were none turned in then strip club was possibly where they were hanging out. It’s possible they had a three hour wait for an Uber so they just hung out with a couple dancers while they waited on their Uber.

The WGLT information says ISU/Foundation dollars of over $23,000 were used to purchase nine club level tickets for $18,000 plus, and eight hotel rooms for $4,000 plus. No mention of meals and entertainment, only Uber/Lyft.
