i am very VERY interested to see who Muller gets to fill the spot.

are there any realistic names floating around? cant tell if molinari is realistic or not.

Per one of my sources Tim Anderson from Depaul is a name floating around. He has ties to Chicago and a good all around recruiter

If he's interested, any reason why he'd come to Normal? I can't guess that we pay more than DePaul. They have also made progress the last two seasons going from 9 wins to 11 to 18*, as well as going up in their conference wins.

2015–16 DePaul 9–22 3–15 9th
2016–17 DePaul 9–23 2–16 10th
2017–18 DePaul 11–20 4–14 T–9th
2018–19 DePaul 18–15 7–11 T-8th CBI

*DePaul lost in the first game of the CBI finals and they host the next two in Chicago.

I guess their major downside is losing Strus, Cain, and Olujobi. He may want to get out if he feels they'll be back down next year and then Leitao's seat gets hotter.

I know Tim very well....he would be an outstanding hire. Just an all-around very nice and likeable person. He has strong ties/good relationships with nearly all of the b-ball people that matter in the Chicagoland area...esp the type of players that ISU seems to recruit. Mullins contacts (Illinois wolves) were generally not ISU type players. Tim can recruit and coach successfully.... his MeansStreets teams were always outstanding and went very deep in the national playoffs

Bonus...Tim has individually trained/worked out most of the top players in Chicago when he was at Crane. Top players and their parents would seek him out as he was good with both conditioning and more importantly skill development

Anthony Beane would be an interesting option, if he wants to come back to town a 3rd time. Mullins may decide to keep him on, but I wonder where he'd rather be - Normal or Carbondale.

Can anyone confirm Mullins actually landed a recruit for us? I can't remember him being the lead recruiter on anyone, and it doesn't appear we got anyone from his Dad's AAU system. We hired someone, in what appeared to be a move to boost IL recruiting. We seemed to do better with guys Judson recruited, and I'm guessing Hinson can recruit. Sorry ADunk, but when is the last time we recruited and landed someone from an "inner city" program? It might be Paris.

I had thought about Beane making a return too and how it could help us bring over Evan Taylor or Lance Jones (two players we recruited and committed to SIU). I'm hearing Beane is going to stay at SIU.

I'm not sure if Mullins did land a recruit, but he was "recruiting coordinator." It seems since Ward, Yak, and more recently Collins, recruiting has been more of a collaborative effort. I've seen Duhon and Muller out at The Nation, but other than that, not a ton of social presence on the recruiting front.

As far as inner city kids don't we have a kid from Compton right now in Keith Fisher? Copeland is from Oakland. I don't specifically mean Chicago.

DePaul has a fantastic recruiting class coming in.

I think they will continue their upward trend.
