There's been a lot of bitching about this season, but as I frequently advised my brother years ago when he was going through a nasty divorce and contemplated doing things to ruin his then-wife's days, if you think you can't make things worse than they already are, you're pretty much a idiot.

Turning on the team will make Redbird Arena and the ISU program in general the last place in the Valley to which decent recruits would choose to come, and it is certain that in recruiting battles others would use it against us. Yes, this has been a terrible, underachieving season, but I would advise against making things worse for possibly the next decade or more. And if somebody is going to question how much worse it can get than more than 20 years without an NCAA berth, driving recruits away and finishing in the bottom tier of the Valley for the next 30 years would be worse than the occasional good, fun seasons that we have had.

Philadelphia boos even in a season they won the super bowl. Doesn't seem to have set them back any. The notion booing is bad for the team is ridiculous.

I agree, booing is more reflective of the fan than impactful on the team.

Sulking is okay, being disappointed is okay, booing a team of college kids, to me, shows the class of the booer.

It's like the guy who sits behind and complains about the birds the entire game, I just want to ask him why he bothers to come at all. Sad if you ask me.
