Drake starts 4 guards and not having Evans could be an issue. Defensively they should have a issues with MY. I actually think posting him might be as effective as letting him drive.

I think our keys will be defending the 3, transition defense, dont foul and put them on the line, and exploiting out height advantage.

I think this will be a competitive game.

They started Hughes and David who are 6'6 and 6'5". You are correct that they're listed as guards but also could be considered wings. This is from Davis bio
2016-17: Started in five games at small forward before suffering a season-ending knee injury at Cal (11/30) . And this is how Lansing described him "He is a bigger wing player that is extremely athletic and can defend multiple positions."

We cannot get into a 3-point shooting contest - show patience on offense, the ball has to touch the lane every time - only 3's should come from inside out passing - no dribbling over the time line and firing up a wild three off the dribble - that is just flat out stupid. Get it in and draw fouls.

Does anyone know when Romine might start playing minutes?

He hasn't dressed or gone through warmups. Both EC and David went through warmups a few games before getting PT. It is frustrating that a question hasn't been asked by our local media. All he is doing right now is burning a year of eligibility.

Drake looks better than some of the other MVC teams I have watched (Bradley, SIU, Valpo, Evansville). Timmer is there guy. I'll be excited when he graduates. Drake has been battle tested with some nice games against Wake Forrest, Wyoming, Minnesota. They didn't win all of them but they were good games.

Feed Malik, get David inside and just hold his hands up, make them beat you from 3 and avoid fouling. They shoot 39% from out there, and 45% from the floor. The team shoots 77% from the FT line.

Also, Drake is doing 1$ tickets to tonight's game.

Most certainly is a tough challenge tonight especially without Key.

But if any team in our league can go on the road and get a W without their leading scorer I think it's the Birds. Anyone else in our league under these circumstances I would call for a 10+ point loss.

This is a pure guess on my part, but maybe CR missed enough class time last semester (not enough hours) that he has to wait until classes start up to be eligible. Like I said, just a guess.
