Before the season started I thought this would be the only game we would lose in the non-con. Of course I was very optimistic then. No way we win this one.

I think the Birds get this one. Shit has to come together eventually.

These are my thoughts. Eventually it's gonna click. Need done of Jefferson, Copeland or Evans to step up and be consistent.

I doubt it. I think they should just medical redshirt Taylor this season if the first 3 or 4 games of the conference are the same as the rest of the season thus far. Don't burn him in a lost season.

I doubt it. And, if the first 3 or 4 games of the conference go like the non conference then redshirt him. Don't burn him on a lost year when hes already sat out half the season. I realize they will still use him, however.

Is Taylor dressing?
Even if he is cleared it will take awhile for TB to be fully effective. The redshirt is not a bad option unless muller truly believes tb will be up and running 100 percent by seasons end and be a difference maker.

As much as I would like to see him play, I think it would be best for both ISU and Taylor to redshirt this year. It's going to take him awhile to get into game shape, even if he were cleared for today.

I wonder how much of a it will be Taylor's choice or not. I mean, if he doesnt want to spend an extra year in school no reason to sit out.... Right?

Any thoughts on this game? UCF picked to win the AAC over Cincinnati. Cincinnati absolutely destroyed UCLA last night. So if UCF is better than Cincinnati, I think our beloved birds are in trouble. Hopefully the guys that played the last 5 min of regulation and OT against Cleveland State show up. I want to say we get a W, but in reality I think we lose by 8-10 points.

If this is under a 15 point loss ill be shocked. I'm guessing 92-74 UCF. They might even drop a dime on us. This one is going to be ugly, folks. Probably the most ugly of the year. But, if the defense shows up it might be closer. But, no reason to believe they will. Either way they'll lose because their offense isn't good enough to keep up.
What defense? I don't think the RedBirds have a defense, at least I haven't seen it this season.

I wonder if it would just be better for Taylor to redshirt to retain three full years of eligibility.

It seems like usually when we do this, they graduate with a degree with one year of eligibility left. Then if they are good enough, they transfer for their final year.

I could definitely see him being an illini transfer but they can't fear of a transfer make their decision. That's selfish. He should redshirt because it's clear he won't be back to 100% until probably February since he just got off crutches not too long ago and that's 75% of the season already. Why ruin a kids eligibility for 20-25% of a very subpar season? It's not like they're making a run to the sweet 16 that it would be worth it.

Let’s see. Game 13 tonight. 18 conf games left and at least one tournament game. That’s substantially less than 75%
Of the season gone.

My feeling is, if he gets back at it just a couple of games into conference play AND can be a substantial help then he should go ahead and play. We sure can use his size and shooting abilities

Eligibility for what team(s)?

Besides, does Taylor want to miss out on this year’s big NCAA run?
