To add what Greenlock said, 129,000 Alumni in the state of Illinois. A great majority in Chicagoland. Been to just about every game up here, be it @ Loyola, @ DePaul, @ NW (football / baseball) , @niu (Wbb), etc.
Can't remember a post game when a coach didn't say our fans were awesome. That needs to be cultivated. Silly not too. IMO.

Pre season Coaches caravans were unbelievably popular. Not sure why they got rid of them. Spack has done a few things which I thought went well.

Btw, Larry Lyons did allow a town hall meeting several years ago at dp dough. It was on a weeknight I believe. He would know about it than I.

1.) Saxman, it’s not a $9,000 per game cost to do that. It’s the potential for lost revenue we could get if we sold those tickets. At this point we won’t, so why not get people out. What do we have to do to get people to come back? A. win, B. win in a fun way.

2.) I believe this was Gary Friedman. I do not see it happening again until a new AD is named.

We have a lot of issues. You would think they would want to meet with a group of 20-30 passionate fans. That’s the thing though, get this meeting and people have to go.

I have always wondered why they don't have a bus trip from Chicago down for the Taste of Redbird

They used to have a bus that made stops along 55 on the way to ISU on game days. This was before my time but I know others that took it.

Wasn't that TPguy's short bus?

It was a stage coach I’m my day smart ass

This is kind of late in this discussion, but just got this e-mail from Wisconsin athletic department about basketball promotions for the rest of the year and thought it might interest some of you.

The student sign contest happens every game, as you can tell. Always brings out the "creative" side of the student body.

For example, tonight's promotions include:
Thursday, February 1, 2018 – vs. Northwestern – 7:30 PM

UW STUDENT SIGN MAKING STATION- Stop by this station, near section 115, provided by BMO Harris Bank for UW students, and make some funny, creative signs to hold up during the game. The winner of best sign, as voted by students on social media, will receive a $100 gift card.

BADGER HALFTIME SHOWCASE featuring the Magic of JP Wilson – Experience JP's unique blend of comedy, magic, and illusion in this unforgettable performance.

NETFLIX NIGHT - UW students, dress up as a character from your favorite binge-worthy Netflix series and come support the Badgers as they take on Northwestern
