All of the Davis haters (for which they are many) who asked for him to be benched earlier this season will be eating their words after YSU and the playoffs.

Cause he played so great this season?

Because there was a huge difference between the first half and the second half of the Missouri St. game. 1st half with Brady 8 for 11 passing 2 TD's. 2nd half without Brady 0-3 passing 2 INT's.

Ok, for Baltz and Jefferson that was their first taste of real action and they weren't expecting it. For YSU they will have a full week to prepare. They can play better. They'll need to.

At this point, the Baltz redshirt decision is officially unimportant to the rest of this season. It is not practical to assume Jefferson will play the rest of the way, so why worry about the redshirt with a playoff season on the line ... so it is officially no never mind.

Have packages suited to both skill sets. let them know they are both going to play, come up with game plans, and play them both as need for the situation. Just don't turn it into a big negative where you punish one guy for a mistake and then put in the other. You will need them both the rest of way .. coaches need to keep it as constructive as they can. They are inexperienced, they will make mistakes. Still need to be abale to mix it up some and pass the ball, but understandably not as much as with Davis.

Best wishes to Davis in his recovery ! I was harder on him than most here. But I thought he did a nice job after his very slow start. I also thought he properly humbled himself and put the team first with his play and newfound attitude. Football is like that .. unforgiving, and he adapted. Again, best wishes in his recovery.

Edgar (Davis’ favorite target) is back. Davis looked solid the past few weeks. An EXPERIENCED qb should give fans more confidence than a Freshman and/or Sophomore.

Baltz looked like a Freshman last week. Hopefully he has a good practice. But there was a reason Baltz threw 3 times and Jefferson threw once.

There is a lot of question marks for the 8 byes. Outside the top 2 spots NDSU and JMU a lot could change today. There are 20 teams with still a chance at a seed. I am excited to get the early game today. Win and it makes watching other games even more interesting today.
