Murray St., Belmont, and SIU. The remaining Thursday game is a mystery. Flip a coin?

Redbirds 70, Purple Aces 69
Salukis 68, Flames 61

Sycamores 81, Racers 70

Braves 78, Salukis 68

Sycamores 86, Bruins 68
Bulldogs 74, Braves 67

Bulldogs 78, Sycamores 77

I think this is the only way the Valley could get two teams into the Big Dance. Indiana State & Drake make the final, with the Bulldogs pulling the upset (by seed) in a close one and the Sycamores getting a final four at-large bid (playing in the first four at Dayton). I think if InSU wins, DU is on the outside looking in.

Way too many things have to fall our way to get a second team in. It won't happen. We should get one into the NIT and that will be about it. We are the "Rodney Dangerfield" of college bball.

IF this plays out as you have outlined, I think Indiana State gets in. If not, I think Indiana State (NET 29) and Bradley (NET 60) both go to NIT.

I was very disappointed we did not win Sunday. We needed to beat Valpo and to me the bigger reason was it would have given us a chance at a winning season. I thought that was an important milestone for this team. It will be tough to do now. I was also disappointed in the substitution patterns. When Lieb is on the floor it is like we are playing 4 on 5 on offense. Pence has lost all confidence. He needs to work on getting it back during the offseason. I still think he can be a player for us. I did not see the value of either of them being in the game. We have played quite well with 8 players in the rotation. On Thursday, let's not worry about Friday. Play to WIN Thursday.

Baltimore Bird will be in the house and is looking forward to a Redbird W. Spread it Slade!

I agree with a lot of this, BUT . . . . . while I agree Lieb is very offensively challenged, looked to me like his length affected a couple-three shots on the defensive end and got us some chances, can't remember if we took advantage. He hasn't shown much all year, but he does board pretty well and can be helpful like I said on the defensive end. Maybe grab some offensive boards. Not gonna help much on O tho.

As for Pence, I like giving him some chances, he isn't going to snap out of it on the bench, he doesn't need to play 10 minutes if nothing is happening. But I agree he's still got a future at ISU. I think there were some decent match-ups there vs. Valpo, so Pedon stuck him in there.

Jeff Jackson said Arch Madness all-session ticket sales are up 1500 over last year.

Hope to see a decent amount of Redbirds. We had big followings as recently as 2017 and 2018, but it fell off the past 5 years for obvious reasons.

I still feel like we’ve had the most fans of the teams towards the bottom of the conference standings, which we’ve been for the last 5 years, for that those years. I imagine a decent uptick in fans if from Thursday to Friday this year, if the happen to win Thursday. The evening games should help attendance as well, especially the Friday game, if applicable.

I wonder if some of that is the forced ticket sales numbers on the schools. Unless they changed it, it’s based on seed. So, making up numbers, if you’re the 1 seed, you guarantee 150 All-Session tickets. 2 seed may guarantee 130, 3-6 seeds perhaps 110 tickets, etc

Forced all-session ticket sales have always been a constant. Each school is given a quota of all-session ticket sales. If they don't meet it, they eat the price. Last I heard, the quota was 225 given to each school.

Teams who exceed that quota are given extra all-session tickets. Bradley and Indiana State for sure exceeded it as they have 4 sections on the seating chart. Jeff Jackson said there's 1500 more all-session tickets sold than last year and that Indiana State led the league this year. Indiana State and Bradley likely accounted for the bulk of that 1500 increase, but other fan bases likely minimally contributed.

We've definitely had the best showing of any of those bottom-4 seeds throughout history. Historically, the bottom-4 have little-to-no showing. Whereas, we've definitely brought a few hundred at minimum every year.

Up to this Valpo game I liked the way we were finishing the season. Then we inexplicably lose to a THREE win Valpo team Again!!! I don’t care to see either Lieb or Pence even sniff the floor in St. Louis.

NOW we get a team in Evansville that finished the season with SEVEN Consecutive losses. I totally agree with Baltimore Bird that I think it was a really important milestone for this team to finish the season with an overall winning record and .500 in the Valley. Very disappointing to not win that game and maintain focus.

I know Evansville is tough with Humrichous in the lineup, but we NEED to win a Thursday game and take another step forward this season! Get it done!!!!!

I meant more that we have extra teams. Perhaps that already factors in Belmont and Murray State additions.

Valley is going to be hoping ISU and MSU get back on track. Both have the potential for huge All-Session and single-game sales that some of the private schools just don’t have.

This season has absolutely been just dumb enough for us to win 4 in 4 and punch a ticket. But then again shit don't float up a river at night so time to start getting things ready for next season.

Also, for anyone going, if you see a beer stand selling Rolling Rock drafts at the Scottrade or whatever it is now...just don't. Trust me.
