2021 MVC Transfers

The D1 Transfer Portal continues to add players, now at 1598. Currently, there are 753 players still available, 92 of those are 3+ star players.
  1. 165 are frosh
  2. 171 are sophs
  3. 220 are juniors
  4. 197 are seniors
The D2 Transfer Portal has 744 players. 589 are still available.
  1. 131 are frosh
  2. 111 are sophs
  3. 198 are juniors
  4. 148 are seniors
  5. 1 doesn't seem to have a class listed . . .

The portal has officially hit 1600 with the addition of a 6'8 wing from Georgetown who is probably gonna transfer to UW Milwaukee.

Wow! Wonder why he took so long. I kinda thought he'd be there from the start.
Yeah and BU has added some nice talent after losing most of their core. He would make them very competitive. Surprised by this as well. I think we all have heard that Wardle is not well liked by his players but he can coach and win. Kind of like Gregg lite. Players tolerate him because he wins except when his whole team transferred a couple of years ago.

Probably waiting to see how his potential charges in Missouri were going to go. Haven't really heard anything from it.
If he's charges were more severe would he be more likely leave or stay. K
" Patterson said an assistant prosecutor in his office would review the case to determine whether there is enough evidence to charge Childs with the Class D felony that is defined as having “deviate sexual intercourse” with someone without their consent. Patterson did not provide a timeline for when his office would decide whether or not to charge Childs".

So it isn't rape? But it was without the person's consent? So like were they passed out drunk? That to me is the only thing I can think of....

Updated the post on page 1 with the most updated MVC transfers out and where they are headed. Biggest update was the addition of Dusan to Utah. Everyone else updated is going down a level or two. Looks like the remaining MVC players still looking for a home are:
Bradley: Antonio Thomas, Sean East, Elijah Childs
Drake: Connor Gholson
Indiana State: Tobias Howard, Jr., Ndongo Ndaw
Loyola: Sami Ismail
Mo State: Jared Ridder
SIU: Jakolby Long
UNI: Evan Gauger
Valpo: Goodnews Kpegeol

As of this morning, the portal is at 1,653 or 37.7% of D1 hoopers. D2 portal has 868 in it. Over 2,500 players on the move not including D3/NAIA (or JUCO, obviously).

37.7% - 1,653 D1 basketball players still in the portal? I'll bet there will be a good number of those kids with some portal remorse.

Nah. That's the total number of D1's that entered. There are just shy of 600 remaining. Regardless, with a lot of teams reporting to campus in the next week or so, that number is significant. I'm sure coaches are eager to get their full teams on campus in June and I agree there may be some portal remorse for these players.

Yep, with D2, JC, and high school kids coming into D1 numbers would tell me there will be D1 kids moving down to D2 partials or lower. It'll be interesting.
