As Dan said in the postgame . . .

- our defense went missing beginning at the end of the first half
- couldn't figure out their 2-3 zone
- didn't play the full forty minutes

My own opinion . . . we allowed WKU to dictate the game, we allowed Bassey's presence in the paint to change our shots, WKU could draw a foul on us at will, and we played soft on 50-50 balls . . .

It was good to see Fisher and Torres score, but nobody else stepped up like we needed.

How does something like this happen? WKU left the MVFC and went FBS..... I was told that would decimate their b-ball program. Hmmmmm... vexing

24-70 FTs over the last three games and have in 2 of them. I know “that’s the way WKU plays” but damn.

We’ll be okay.

Anyone think the FT difference is due to the fact that opponents play good, aggressive attacking basketball and get in the paint and ISU cant guard without fouling?

Meanwhile our offense is solely focused on seeing how many threes we can jack up?? Just a thought

I agree we dont have an offense that attacks the rim well but I dont think we just jack threes. We are currently 195th in Division 1 basketball ... not even in the top half with 21.2 attempts per game.

We have had better looks with our 3 point attempts in previous 4 games (better inside out looks).

Its not like we didn't get past their perimeter defense. They had a future NBA center in the lane protecting the rim. This along with their 3 point shooting changed the game in the second half.

I personally think this was the best team we played so far this year. Great offensive balance.

I agree on the 50/50 balls. We seemed to win more than our fair share the first four games. We looked clumsy in pursuit of loose balls.

I do agree that WKU and Cincinnati did a great job of attacking and driving to the rim. When we attack, we often alter our shot and avoid contact. The one exception is Boyd whi seems willing to seek contact when going to the rim. I think Fisher shows signs of attacking but until today has not been effective or under control. Hillsman has the body but doesn't drive that often. We dont not have a player like Malik or MM that has the body and length.

Someone needs to tell Copeland he isn’t Kawhi Leonard! He is jacking 3’s in desperation!

The thing that upsets me the most today was the lack of passion and effort from the team. This falls directly on the ball coach. He lost the team about half way through the first 10 min. I saw it and I am appalled by the clear lack of influence he had on the guys for a "bounce back" game. Boyd, Fisher and even Chastain specifically. The body language, negativity and lack of emotion whether in the game or not. I expect more, a lot more from our core. How can Dan create this type of culture??? In life we aren't judged by how much adversity we overcome but how we handle it. Today showed me a lot that I just don't want to believe. I hope this was a fluke or this is going to be another long season. I previously said I was all in on this team. I fold. Now it's back to the bars to drink this one away- it hurts more than yesterday by far.

Outscored in the 2nd half?! That's odd. Our coaching staff usually makes adjustments at the half to bring home the W.

Hey man the only games that matter are the ones in St. Louis anyway. Too bad the outcome for those games aren't any good either.

Unlike teams of the past, this team does seem to have upside. The key here is to watch them develop. If they do, it’s kind of as expected. If not, then, honestly, it’s time to move on from Muller. That’s what I’m looking for ...progress.

Anyone surprised? This team has to play good every night time to win. One senior and a bunch of underclass men. They will win down the road but they have a learning curve to get through. We have less talent than most we have played

At least Fisher looked decent, finally showing why he was hyped as the next big thing by RBF

Only a matter of time.
