No issue with the technical.

This is the third straight game with a ridiculous free throw discrepancy. The least of my concerns with the way things have gone this half.

Tuned out for a few. Has our team learned not to drive on Charles Bassey yet?

number of free throw attempts and number of 3-balls made the difference here

You inferring that refs are out to get ISU vs style and type of players being the reason for the discrepancy? We must be watching different ISU Redbird basketball games

Obviously, this is not ideal. WKU got really hot from 3 and hit their free throws. Cincy and WKU are the two best teams in this whole tournament and we just so happened to get both of them. I wouldn’t have it any other way. This game is more beneficial than playing Bowling Green. With the size of the last couple of teams we’ve played, we’ll be ready to guard Gage Prim and Cam Krutwig.

This is life after Phil P. A scoring threat in the paint and shot a lot of fts.

24-70 FTs over the last three games and have in 2 of them. I know “that’s the way WKU plays” but damn.

We’ll be okay.

Well that was an embarrassing second half. Glad I didn't pay to watch it

"WKU got really hot from 3 and hit their free throws."

Yup.

we outrebounded them, especially offensive rebounds.
turnovers =
just got out-shot and out free-throwed
didn't see the game so no idea if we just didn't attack or they just got hot as heck
disappointing for sure on a night when Fisher finally found his funk and Boyd and Copeland were kept in check.

That was disappointing, but it sounded like WKU got beyond hot from 3. Some thoughts below.

--Nice to see Fisher come out of his early year funk. I'd keep bringing him off the bench for a few games until he is settled in and comfortable.

--We either need to get more aggressive offensively, or get less aggressive defensively so that the FT disparity isn't so huge. That is killing us.

--This game felt like a step back from what we've built on all year in terms of intensity and focus. I don't know if it was the number of games in a row or something else, but need to regroup.

--Really like how we hit the offensive boards. That will win us some games down the line.

We’ll be okay.

Anyone think the FT difference is due to the fact that opponents play good, aggressive attacking basketball and get in the paint and ISU cant guard without fouling?

Meanwhile our offense is solely focused on seeing how many threes we can jack up?? Just a thought
