If what we have is next year’s roster then the individual pieces hopefully have some significant synergy effect as a team. Otherwise could be pedon’s last year given that there is likely a new sheriff in town. Still very surprised by the lack of roster turnover as respects to the bottom half...
I actually OVERSTATED WIU’s Macomb spring undergrad enrollment. Their full time undergraduate enrollment is 3400! With grad students they hit 4200 full time in macomb.
WIU wishes they had 7200 enrollment. They are under 4200 full time for the macomb campus this spring. Add in grad students and they are under 5200. The drop in enrollment has been staggering and problematic but the damage to their reputation is likely magnified by the approach of basically...
My aging memory says ISU enrollment was 21 or 22,000 thousand when I was on campus in the mid 80’s. Not certain of the components but it seems isu has hovered in the 21,000 range for at least the past 30 years.
??? Sam Houston and JMU both won national championships during the last 8 years. Economics and national exposure/prestige driving moves from fcs to fbs similar to the massive fbs conference realignment over the past many years.
Agree Mark...but ISU enrollment has been flat a very long time. Lets hope the plan is for growth esp with addition of the new Engineering program. UIUC and UIC are the only two publics that have been growing. Both illinois publics have grown dramatically the last 20 years despite, the...
Agree…and when you take an objective look at it we are basically in need of a near portal overhaul as respects to key/significant contributors that will play a majority of the minutes next year. Without big portal additions expect more of the same or even less.
Agree that extravagant spending may not be the issue but maybe we are not as lean and mean as our competitors/conf mates? It seems we may be a bloated/overstaffed operation as measured by our conference peers. All these $$$s on staff are dollars that could be spent on facilities, better head...
Dr Beggs:
I am looking forward to your response on the previous topic regarding number of varsity sports offered by ISU especially as it relates to the new college landscape and our ability to compete with our conference peers and, more importantly, on a national basis. Further I would also...
He has deep p5 history so not surprising to me that he is trying to get back up the food chain as fast as possible. He will probably only be there as long as necessary since asu is a weak midland in the p5 .
The a-10 may not want Drake but there were some wealthy Drake alums in Chicago that were pitching Drake to the various a10 members to determine viability of a move. They did not get too far. Say what you want but that is a fact Jack.
