And his perfect answer was?Adunk33 said:I just watched Dana's introduction at Missouri State. It was really cool and the crowd really enjoyed him. They had boosters, media members, students, and fans all there and he answered their questions for a good 40 minutes. I'm not sure if we did that for the Spack/Muller hires but I think it would be cool to do for whatever hires are next. It gives fans an opportunity to put the coach on the spot and see how he reacts. One question from a fan was even, "Is this a stop or a destination for you?" Dana handled the question perfectly. It's great to have him back in The Valley and will guess he will be at MoState about 5 years.
Knowing how we write contracts, someone would have to pony up a cool $1.65MM to pay out Pedon before even discussing salary with McCullom. Let’s see how next year shakes out before going full wanderlust. While I believe Pedon showed progress and deserves another year, I would pursue McCullom so we don't miss out. I think this is the year McCullom decides to take a D1 job.

I have none right now. Nobody does until we see who stays/goes in this new era of free agency. What's your expectation for next year?
We should be in the NCAA tournament. The new era excuse is old hat. Figure it out or get out.I have none right now. Nobody does until we see who stays/goes in this new era of free agency.
Find some big donors and stop building IPFs before the checks clear, and maybe we can get on the financial footing you’d need to steamroll the Valley like Wichita did before they left.We should be in the NCAA tournament. The new era excuse is old hat. Figure it out or get out.

Otherwise constantly keep rolling the dice on new players and new coaches and hope to catch lightning in a bottle. It’s not like the eleven other teams don’t also feel like they should be dancing every year.
That's fine. Then he should be doing what Josh Schertz is doing at Indy State in year 3 and what DeVries did in year 3 at Drake. I'm looking forward to 28-6 (26-5 regular season) and a regular season title next year. He needs to do better than what Schertz did today and match what DeVries did in year 3 in St. Louis. Surely, we can have the same expectations as Drake and Indiana State?? Especially, since he is getting paid way more than Schertz in year 3! I appreciate your idea of only holding his feet to the fire for his seasons it makes for easier comparisons and you can't place blame on what he inherited. That actually makes the "fire" hotter. I like it!Pedon is only responsible for the last 2 seasons. You can't hold his feet to the fire for anything but that. Well, you can if you want, but IMO it would be pretty short-sighted for anything prior to those.
DeVries lost the Championship game to Loyola and got an at Large bid in his third season. We will see if Schertz can do the same. That's fine. My mistake. Either way, year 3 looks to be the make or break year for Pedon.DeVries lost the Championship game to Loyola and got an at Large bid in his third season. We will see if Schertz can do the same.
I think we’re on the same page. Either Pedon breaks through in the next two years or we part ways with yet another HC and start over; it’s what programs do.That's fine.
