He can only do one? If so, we got the wrong coach.
I was a loud voice when it came to our poor scheduling (aside from the year we played UK, Cincy, San Diego State, Maryland, etc.), but ya gotta give Pedon some time here.It sounds like he has a minimum of five games to play with this season, and he has chosen two for a home/home five days apart with Northwestern State?
When FHCDM announced a home/home with Chicago State, some folks were upset saying it was beneath us to have to go to the Jones Convocation Center.
HCRP has four months to put together five games. I do not think his hands are all that tied. Certainly he will have more say the following season when the only series still going is with the Cougars. But he is in no better/worse shape than most non-P5s at this point of the year.
Definitely B first, but then A for sure.Do I want my new head coach spending his time
A. working on scheduling for his first team with a total new roster
B. Putting together that roster??
Give me B.
Definitely 2nd! Lolso should we expect a final 4 the 1st year or the 2nd
Not 3 months, but 3 years is about right. So members of this board will give the previous coach a lifetime to do something, but Pedon gets three months? Got it!
So you’re giving up on Pedon before he has coached a single game? Let’s go back to mullerAnd sorry, not sorry, as so many like to point out, we haven't been to an NCAA tournament in decades. I'm out of patience. Get it done or move on. With the portal and such it shouldn't take 4 years any more.
Never mind he’s fixing houses now, I forgot… wasn’t he going to be getting any p5 assistant job in the country? So you’re giving up on Pedon before he has coached a single game? Let’s go back to muller
If you want to fault a guy for his scheduling in year one while taking over a program that has been driven into the depths of hell, that’s fine. I think he’s got quite a bit on his plate to turn this ship around. I’m not going to worry about his year 1 non conf opponents too much.He can only do one? If so, we got the wrong coach.
ball state lolI’m more than happy to still complain about the state of a program that means that the Birds are playing at Chicago State and home/away at a Southland team I’ve honestly never heard of. The problem is these teams should be money games for them at Redbird without home/home and the Birds road games should be attracting quality opponents back to Redbird through home/home, but I suspect the attendance over the last 2-3 years now doesn’t allow that.
On the opposite end, I think the Butler game in Indy at “neutral site” is about as good as we could get, so congrats to any/all staff involved in putting this one together.
I imagine that Ball State is saying the same thing about us.ball state lol
I'm assuming that the lol was in response to the prior poster's statement that we would be playing Butler and the lol related to the correction from Butler to Ball State.I imagine that Ball State is saying the same thing about us.
From what I’ve seen on Twitter, Ball State fans aren’t all that enthused about the game . . .I imagine that Ball State is saying the same thing about us.
That was my point. From what I’ve seebpn on Twitter, Ball State fans aren’t all that enthused about the game . . .
Since Northwestern State has been to the NCAA's 3 times this century, three times more than Old State U, I'll remain humble regarding where and when we play them. And hope Coach Pedon and the boys take care of bidness and leave no doubt for next year.I’m more than happy to still complain about the state of a program that means that the Birds are playing at Chicago State and home/away at a Southland team I’ve honestly never heard of. Northwestern State University. Located in beautiful Natchitoches, Louisiana (the original French Colony). It’s a beautiful small town on the Cane River. It’s the home of the “Sweet Magnolia” Movie. AND only a short four hour drive over to the French Quarters in Beautiful downtown New Orleans, Louisiana. Sounds like a good road trip.Since Northwestern State has been to the NCAA's 3 times this century, three times more than Old State U, I'll remain humble regarding where and when we play them.
