Just blow it up. Blow up MBB as well.
F’ing embarrassing. Again
We already knew where you were coming from. You have no need to post because all of us know your dour outlook.
You must be a fun guy to be with .

Yeah, I’m predictable in my hatred for our pathetic sports’ programs and how shitty they are. Shame on me.We already knew where you were coming from. You have no need to post because all of us know your dour outlook.

This team is not competitive and has disappointed. That said, I’m not sure there’s been a better decade in the football program’s history than this past decadeYeah, I’m predictable in my hatred for our pathetic sports’ programs and how shitty they are. Shame on me.
Honestly, how anyone can support this schools’ sports programs is beyond me. I mean we’re not talking about a bad season, or two. We’re talking about decades of horseshit.
It’s embarrassing across the board.
I guess I don’t understand blind support of a program because you went there. Seriously, if you’re not completely embarrassed by everything about our sports programs, well, I don’t know what to tell you. Good for you, I guess?
Me? I’m 110% embarrassed.
Now go ahead and block me for wanting better.
I get that, but does anyone really think this year and whatever that was in the spring is acceptable for this program? This team is not competitive and has disappointed. That said, I’m not sure there’s been a better decade in the football program’s history than this past decade

I don’t assume anything about you.You assume I’m tickled by where ISU athletics are at and I am with some of the sports. Others not so much. Like you the bball program under Dan Muller is to me a disappointment. As others have succinctly pointed out, the football program has year in and year out been successful. This is a down year. It happens unless it’s Alabama or NDSU.
We share some of the same thoughts. Maybe more than you know. The difference is I choose not to come here and bitch incessantly like you do. When we see your name on a post we know instantly it’s going to be sour grapes.
No I won’t block you. Perhaps, though, you could do everyone a favor and block yourself from this forum. Most of us see the same issues as you. You choose to bitch about it without ceasing. The rest of us realize that a continuous stream of griping and complaining here on the forum isn’t going to change a damn thing.
I always wondered why Spack was never on any FBS shortlists. I think we now know.I’m amazed at this level of offensive production. It’s not easy to be that bad on offense. my fear is it’s equal opportunity problem. Coaching and talent
I think this is a valid point.I always wondered why Spack was never on any FBS shortlists. I think we now know.
Sorry if that offends some
Defense=Great ................. Offense= Let’s Go BrandonI’m amazed at this level of offensive production. It’s not easy to be that bad on offense. my fear is it’s equal opportunity problem. Coaching and talent
Yes, I think a winning record is now looking unlikely. I think they will pick up a few wins down the stretch. The defense is playing well but the offense is just not good enough. 2-4 and some gut-wrenching losses where they had the lead and were controlling the game and then a big collapse. The defense is playing well and has to be frustrated. The coaching staff has to set game plans but they also have to deal with that mental aspect at this point. Do the players really believe in the coaches at this point? If they get out to a lead are they looking over their shoulder for the next collapse? Can they play with confidence? I am not sure this coaching staff is up to that challenge. The Birds have painted themselves into a tough corner. 5 games left, 3 on the road, 2-4 record. Obviously 6-5 is gonna be a tall order. Even 4 wins is gonna be tough, prolly require a road win at WIU unless we get an upset somewhere else along the line, and taking down the Sycamores at Hancock. Road wins at North and South Dakota, taking down UNI at Hancock? There's a long way to go.
If Waring is the future, and I think they should be looking frantically at the portal in the off-season, then he should be the starter the rest of the way. This is no doubt this is a rebuilding season now and they should be looking to the future. In my opinion, the future is not Jefferson. I am not sure it is Waring but that is what the Birds have right now.I hope Waring is the only QB to get a snap the rest of the season. The defense did a great job once again.
I like Spack. He has been great for the ISU program. He is the all-time winningest coach for ISU. But he just does not do offense. His entire coaching career was on the other side of the ball and he has not invested in the offensive coaching staff. He reminds me so very much of Lovie Smith during his Chicago Bears tenure. Lovie knew defense and the Bears had some great defenses during his time. Lovie went through offensive coordinators like crazy. First-time NFL OC Terry Shea, Ron Turner, Mad Man Mike Martz (who literally gave away Greg Olsen which I am still not over), to O-Line coach Mike Tice. The Bears were mediocre most seasons because Lovie could not find an offense to go with his defense. If you play great defense you will always be close. If you don't play great offense you are not going to win consistently in today's game. Hell, even in High School they are running wide-open spread offenses. Maybe it is just me but I see opposing Defensive Coordinators calling it an early night when preparing for the Birds. They probably sleep like a baby all week long with absolutely nothing to be concerned or worried about. If you are a glass-half-full kind of guy then ISU has been great for the mental health of Defensive Coordinators in the MVFC.I think this is a valid point.
I've always been a defensive guy, As a young coach, my HC told me I had to learn to coach the other side of the ball. Why? Because as an HC you are the only consistent in your program. Everyone else will come and go. And they do.
This has bitten Coach in the ass twice now. It's hurt in our evaluation and recruiting. It's also hurt in adapting to the kids we have. And it's hard to get a good OC. They don't grow on trees. I think it's a big weakness.
Our QB coach is very inexperienced. The OC's are really young. Frickin go out and get a good OC who is experienced coaching QBs. We're not doing those kids justice and it's glaring.
I question how well the defense is playing. That Missouri State game was definitely troubling. EIU is 0-4 and hung 24 on us. SIU is decent, but put up 35 on us.Yes, I think a winning record is now looking unlikely. I think they will pick up a few wins down the stretch. We have not seen enough of Waring yet. I am baffled why he didn't start this weekend. Waring needs to improve each game the rest of the way. If he improves and the line play improves we will be back to winning next year. I also think Spack and his staff are always looking at the portal. He will recruit over anyone using the portal and developing young recruits. The amount of playing time underclassmen are getting is impressive. It only matters though if they turn into into a playoff run next year.If Waring is the future, and I think they should be looking frantically at the portal in the off-season, then he should be the starter the rest of the way. This is no doubt this is a rebuilding season now and they should be looking to the future. In my opinion, the future is not Jefferson. 4.2 yards per carry is not running at will. 10 pts through the first 3 quarters is not running at will. NDSU went light on passing the ball after the Redbirds intercepted them twice.I question how well the defense is playing. That Missouri State game was definitely troubling. EIU is 0-4 and hung 24 on us. SIU is decent, but put up 35 on us.
Although it could be sai that the defense is simply tired from being in the field all day
I didn’t see the NDSU game, but it seems like could run at will on us so no need to throw?
