10 seed Butler just beat 7 seed Xavier in BE tourney. Xavier was on the bubble. That should help Drake.

A lot can change and Lunardi has Drake in, but that doesn’t mean the NCAA does.

There have been comparisons to 2017 ISU. The one thing Drake has going for it is they are 6-2 in quad 1 and 2 games. In 2017, ISU was 1-5.

It probably doesn’t matter, but Drake has a stronger case than ISU did.

1-5? Whoa, whoa, whoa!!
We all can all read between the lines here.
How dare you drop innuendos that golden boy is incapable of winning big games.
Shame on you...

Xavier loss was a gamechanger. I think with Xavier’s loss, Drake is in barring an unexpected bid steal.

The “bubble” currently has a lot of mid majors, as opposed to P5 teams. That too benefits Drake. If enough P5s can rise to the bubble during this week, that spells trouble for Drake. Like Duke just appeared in Lunardi’s bubble after beating Louisville. I have a hard time believing the committee would choose Drake in what’ll essentially be a coin flip decision over Duke.

Duke season likely done. Positive COVID test means they don't play Fl State tonight. Had they played and won tonight, they'd likely be in.

Duke probably talking to NCAA, convincing them into 9:30 PM Friday slot next week to give maximum time to recover is for everyone's best interest

Coach K also negotiating, if Blue Devils are out, to invalidate this season for them so his streak can remain intact

Xavier is looking for a game to play before Sunday. Duke has cut bait and said their season is over.

So ridiculous. They had a chance to win and couldn't beat an inferior opponent. If they play an extra game, it should have NO bearing on their resume.

Interesting. Would anyone else on the bubble (Saint Louis, Utah State) want to take the risk? Could eliminate both teams. Anyone else would serve no value. Plus you can see the battle over where to play.

But hell, some are still trying to get Kentucky dancing.

I can’t remember which game I was watching BUT the color guy said the mid majors should get more consideration this year due to the fact that COVID severely limited their opportunities to get significant non con games. I hope he’s right

Beat me to the post ... its going to be close. I also wonder how the committee looks at Memphis who played Houston close again. That's twice in about a week.
