Many of us predicted this type of outcome tonight including people betting in Vegas. It doesn't make it any easier. I will say I was getting worried about some of you that we haven't heard from in a while. I was starting to think you moved onto another team until they sucked!

If Drake does get a ten seed that would be impressive by the way from a mid majori conference.

For those of you still watching games I think we need to focus on the growth of players and hoping they continue to make less or not the same mistakes game after game.
Drake needs to beat Loyola twice next week and win the valley tournament to get a 10 seed. Only a few of you think Drake is the Runnin Rebels in the 80’s.

Boy, the fire Dan crowd really loves it when the birds get beat bad. Glad I am not a fan that roots for the worst outcome. There are young pieces on this team that deserve to be cheered for. I get you don't like Dan. It seems like a cancel culture type hate from you all. Root the for the kids. Dan isn't going anywhere. You don't have to root for him but these kids are Redbirds.

ISU played well yesterday and there is no need to take that away from them. There was a reason Drake went 4 for 30 ... Birds were active yesterday and you could tell there was an emphasis to contest the 3. It left Brodie open to go 1:1 and he made them pay going 10:for 10.

As far as today's game went ... the result was somewhat predictable when you have several key players logging almost 40 minutes ... especially with our lack of depth and experience. No legs generally turns into jump shots and lack of rebounding. Whether you acknowledge it or not Drake is a top 25 team this year by all measurements. The combination was most likely not going to be good.

BTW, for those of you that can't remember past the Gregg Marshall days ... Wichita wasn't always that good. They were the bottom to .500 team for about 12 to 15 years in a row. The 90s and early 2000s were not so kind to them.

I remember Wichita past the Gregg Marshall days. They had Xavier McDaniel, Antoine Carr, Cliff Levingston, Greg Dreiling all on the same team. All 4 of those guys played in the NBA. They also had an all conference point guard Aubrey Sherrod. BTW, for those of you that didn't know, ISU beat the nationally ranked and undefeated Shockers that year.

That’s fine. We will get to sit back and watch the same ole show for the next three years!

Three things:

a.) Moser's tenure was the worst (so far) overall in the Division I era - only one of four seasons avoiding play-in night at Arch Madness
b.) seen enough Dedric Boyd - not hot enough for long enough to merit rolling the dice putting him on the court for any length of time
c.) minus Fan 1, I think all of the "coach head on a stick" torch carriers managed to make it to the message board village tonight

2 Final Fours. 4 Elite Eights. 6 Sweet Sixteens. 14 NCAA Appearances. 13 NIT appearances. I bet the fan base has forgiven those 12-15 years. Our expectations aren't even that high. Win St. Louis. That's it.

And... beating his players, accused of cheating, and his wife making racist comments drunk at games.

Apparently, 3- 30 point beat downs to valley teams are acceptable in a season. I would understand if this were Baylor or Gonzaga.

Ok, I guess we are the only ones that’s had to play two days in a row. I guess that was Drakes janitors on the floor yesterday that allowed them to rest. 😂

The point is back to back games with long minutes coupled with lack of experience amd depth is not going to bode well against a talanted team like Drake .

Brodie and Wilkins looked tired today in my opinion but Drake had plenty of others to overcome. Hemphill and Murphy were outstanding today. Sturtz was also very good. Hemphill was in foul trouble yesterday and he along with Sturtz logged about 15 minutes less than everyone else. They looked two steps quicker than everybody else on the floor. Sturtz won so many 50/50 balls and did so many little things. Murphy was on fire ... six threes.

Oh, also racial charged rants towards players. I'll take Dan over that all day.
I’m sure we can find a coach that can win ball games and not have racially charged rants. You know one of those prerequisites are just common sense and doesn’t take much effort.

Do a better job recruiting and coaching and you will be on level playing field!

Cancel culture? He’s in year 9. How long does he get to figure it out? 2 decades?

Also, I find it hard to just root for kids like it’s 6th grade basketball when they are down 30.

Sure there are some good players, but this team is light years away from competing for anything.

We get it...you are looking for the Pope to coach your team.
Nope, I have supported Dan but also agree change is needed. What Marshall did was beyond horrible and it was covered up for years by a rich donor. This losing sucks and is hard for all fans but if you haven't just do a little search yourself of what Marshall did to those young men.

How do you know what Dan has done or is doing? We have had coaches that have not been so nice to players. Winning can over compensate being a jack@ss. It has that effect. I’m not saying that makes it right. I’m sure you weren’t calling for Stallings to be fired.
