I don’t know how important winning is to todays kids, but I would guess their interest in a program as follows...
1. Amount of television exposure
2. Path to the NBA (see above)
3. Playing time
4. Facilities
5. March Madness
I believe ISU offers 3 & 4.
Obviously this varies from kid to kid
I also think that number one is obtainable by employing a “I’ll play any P5 program, anywhere, anytime” without the promise of a return game.
I know this may seem more difficult than it sounds, but I believe that without the promise of a return game you’re more likely to schedule the Kentucky’s, Duke’s, Michigan State’s, of the NCAA
