Now: 45

Last time Redbirds Made NCAA Tournament: 6-0, 170
Now: 5-11, 190 (not fair just after Thanksgiving)

Last time Redbirds Made NCAA Tournament: Single, nice hairline, 1 chin (supremely jealous I missed the swipe-right movement)
Now: Married, 2 junior-high kids, 1.5 chins, bald (with nice shaped head I'm told)

Now: Picture those two old Muppets guys up in the booth

I think Vboy (the Muppets quip made me laugh) takes this one. That is, until TP kicks out his wooden leg, trips V, and wraps him up like The Mummy with dollar store tp and next thing ya know, smart ass (TP) is being pushed around Redbird by yoga girl.

But it turns out yoga girl is actually yoga boy. Winner: Vboy!!

Two things . . .

How come we never give ISU credit for wins against teams missing their best player, but always say we should do well even when our best player is out? We have a next man up mentality for our guys but not for other teams.

Winning by "convincing fashion" is overrated. Just win.

I'm a little confused. Why would we give ISU credit for beating similar teams missing their best player? Wouldn't we expect that since we have a huge advantage?

I think what I am saying is that.....if BYU comes in here and beats ISU missing one of its best players......and ISU basically has everyone back (missing Bruninga hurts a little), then.....sure I give BYU the extra credit......but the main point is that for ISU it looks extra worse to lose to a team missing one of their top players on your home court in what I would consider to be a marquis game.

There is extra pressure for ISU to win the game because BYU is depleted. All the more reason to play with extra urgency, step on necks, add in your preferred cliche of choice.

Did you read the whole paragraph? What I am saying is you and our fans expect Muller to have someone ready to go or implore the team to step up when our best guy is out, and that ISU deserves no latitude. We should still win, seemingly against anyone we play.

Your comment suggests you don't think other teams should be given the same expectation. You obviously think our wins are tainted because Akron and Boise State were playing "without their best player". I call BS on that sentiment.

And FWIW, it's a marquee game . . . not a nobleman's game.
