It will be a beautiful week for baseball. First up is Iowa (24-17). Next up is Western Illinois (10-29). The weekend series is a big one. ISU is in a 4-way tie with SIU (25-19, 9-9 MVC) for 4th place. We lost our tiebreaker with Murray State this past weekend. This upcoming weekend gives us the chance to win the tiebreaker against SIU. The chances for a bye are starting to look bleak. Need to win 2 out of 3 this weekend to really keep hope alive. Murray State and SIU have a weak SOS the rest of the way.

Big time performance this weekend! Redbirds sit in sole possession of 4th place but lots of work left to do. Murray State has the tiebreaker and has games remaining against Bradley and Valpo. I believe the Redbirds have officially clinched a spot in the conference tournament after missing the tournament in 2023.
